The edit was weird because it seemed to almost favour Poppy (regardless of screen time, they showed her lipsync to be more dynamic and more interesting with Amethyst kinda doing the same thing the whole time with nothing really interesting sticking out) but Amethyst's 'meet and greet' confessional absolutely killed her (I mean the meet and greet killed her, but that confessional absolutely ended her in terms of the editing, you just knew the outcome of the lipsync after that).

Completely fair. Poppy’s interpretation of that song edged on inappropriate. It was bad enough when she started doing a comedy routine, but then she started doing those explicit sex poses. It’s a well known fact that RuPaul really idolizes and respects Diana Ross, Poppy trying to make a mockery of it was pure cringe. Plus Amethyst was wearing the PERFECT outfit for that number. She understood the vibe of the song. Poppy just came of as desperate to pull focus and it wasn’t a good look.

I’m not sure anyone would have watched what poppy did and think she remotely had a chance of winning. It may have been rigged in terms of song choice, but the lipsync itself would never have been favorable for poppy.

I think Poppy was losing confidence since the beginning and sort of just threw the competition. She mentioned in a tweet that she was already considering retiring from drag before going on the show. I wish she took it more seriously, put her best effort in. I thought she was charming but the way she left was just nasty. How are you gonna make a mockery of Diana Ross and then flip off everyone while walking out? Reeks of desperation. Not a good look.

Your intro doesnt make sense. The more the edit favors someone, the more probabilities theyre going to win and not that the lipsync was rigged. Theres a difference between the two. The decisions of the lipsyncs are made during filming, so before the editing process and the editing OF COURSE has to support the development of the show. The editors already know who was chosen, so they are going to highlight them more and this has nothing to do with how good or bad they performed, and everything to do with the decision that rupaul made. , there are cases where we can clearly see that one contestant outperformed the other one and the edit tried to hide it, but we also saw so many other cases where the person who was doing better and won was higlighted more. We are spectators, we are not the judges and yes we’re watching a competition, but we’re also watching a reality tv show.
