Not quite. As presented it shows that the 2 innermost lanes act almost exclusively as stop and turn. However, when cars are not actually engaging in turns, the lanes are capable of acting as straight throughs. Is the present configuration messy- yes. Will the proposed plan move the same number of cars- yes, BUT moving the through lanes strictly to the outside results in compression that will result in longer transit times.

This doesn't account for the fact that 2100 South has bus stops. So with one lane and a parked bus no cars get through. Cars turning left will backup past the turn bay into the single lane of traffic, creating gridlock. Also, the curb bump-outs at each corner will make it very difficult for a truck or any vechicle with a trailer to take a right hand turn off of or on to 2100 S. If you want to ride a bike east/west, Parley's trail is literally one block south of 2100 and has both gravel and paved bike lanes. Plus it exists today.

Yeah? What happens when there is a line of cars looking to turn left? Grid lock traffic. Especially turning onto 1300. Poor design.

I sincerely hope you have the Native America's blessing who stands in the middle of the whole thing. I lived a block north of the exact place they're once again modifying. Personally I never found it to be a problem at all.

What about pileups of cars trying to turn left in between signals? There's no way to get around that and it will clog things up just as much as how it is now.

2100 S is the classic case of a road in need of a road diet. I just hope the outreach to educate the community can make it possible.
