Just bought Advanced Glucose Support!!! My morning glucose numbers came down right away!!! 4 out of 5 days were under 100. The week before I was all over the place, from 130-200. Been taking Metformin and many supplements since diagnosed February of 2021 (A1C of 11). Have lost 30# on Keto and have got A1C down to 6.3 which is great but now I feel sure I will be in the 5 range at my next appointment in March of 2023!!! So excited. Thanks Dr. Ergin

I am diabetic type 3. I do moderate exercise due to shoulder pain. What really works for me is eating only 100% meat and peanuts for dinner. The meat is boiled or oil and sauce free, grilled. From 6.5 I can go down to 4.5. Lunch instead is always carbs like rice, bread, pasta. All carbs stop at 18:00H.

Doc you hit the head on the nail....only you can change the way ahead.The hardest is actually mental for a lot of folks i think....well for me it is. When i changed my diet i had some great readings and i am TD2 for 5 months.After the shock i said ok to my doctor i want to try and naturally heal my body and we see how that goes.I tested all the time and it took a week or so to see changes.But since i was 25.4 on blood result after 2 weeks i was tested again and went down to 9.8.What i did notice is how certain things effect your readings ...and how certain foods and hacks really can bring sugar readings down.Example i slept very poorly last night and fasting morning was 13.3. I ate 2 rounds of melted cheese on toast and glass of water and before i went for my 1hr walk tried apple cider vinegar.....after returning from my walk so that was 1hr plus since the toast i tested my blood ....4.5. i plan to fast 16/8 during the week and give my body rest at weekend and gonna try this for a month and see how i get on. I appreciate any advice on the matter ....by the way my body mass index is perfect according to the scale my blood pressure is 116/72 and cholesterol is 3.5.

I do 16/8 IF and eat a low carb higher protein/fat meal about 10:30 (I’ve never been an early breakfast eater) and start fasting at 6:30 pm after similar meal (so really 2 meals a day). My recent A1C came in at 5.4. What are your thoughts on how to get off Metformin when it appears there is no diabetes indicated
@brendagrothier9672 жыл бұрын
My fasting blood sugar even after 12 hours is higher than when I go to bed at night. I don't take meds for my type two diabetes. But my A1C was 5.5 on my last blood test.
@staraniase5032 жыл бұрын
you dont have type 2 diabetes with that reading - dont let doctors (beside this good one) tell you otherwise - they scare you into taking meds so they can profit - a reading 0f 5.5 is fine versus a reading of say 20 -30 - then you have diabetes - this is all relative
@brendagrothier9672 жыл бұрын
@@staraniase503 I am definitely a diabetic. If I didn't restrict my carbs down to less than 60 a day my readings are much higher. I lowered it from 6.8 to 5.5 by extreme restrictions to my diet.

I'm a 36 f, non-diabetic with insulin resistance in the form of hypoglycemia as a result of hodhimotoes. I started keto and intermittent fasting Jan this year. I a few months back got a blood keytone and blood glucose meter so I can have data to monitor my progress between Dr visits. I did start adding a morning walk for a bit, but have recently nixed that. I'm in tx, and it's hot a lot of tge day still. Thing is, life stress has me on a nocturnal sleep schedule so exersise is out right now. When I was exersising before breakfast I found that my glucose was up right after, but later when I tested right before eating it went down. The keytones went up too, don't ask why. I also waje up with pretty high glucose levels first thing in tge morning. I think this is called Dawn phenomenon with diabetics. But within 1-2 hrs it's down quite a bit on it's own. Usually I di 15-16 hr fasts, but while I'm trying to right my sleep schedule I'm doing 18-20+ hr fasts unintentially. I'm still doing a, 2mad meal structure. Still monitoring glucose, keytones, and weight. I'm still having positive results

I m experiencing this particular phenomenon. On week days I wake up at 6 am. And my sugar level after 1 hour is 110 to 115mg/dl. However, on weekends when I wake up around 8 30 to 9 am. My sugar level after 30 min is 98 to 100 mg/dl. Can anyone explain the reason for it. I have insulin resistance for last 8 months.
@SugarMDs2 жыл бұрын
Because you are well rested on the weekends more than likely and dawn phenomenon tends to happen right around 6-8 am

@@SugarMDsthank you so much. I have so much to understand. how can i replicate the same effect during weekdays. More rest? No carbs after 7pm? And if I hold breakfast till 9 to 10 am, this sugar level will rise or go down? I can't really keep track of sugar level after 8am because of my professional commitment. What's the more likely hypothesis. Regards

Hello Love your videos I got a question since on low carb diet I was able to lower my AIC from 6.0 to 5.6 so no prediabetic anymore and I actually love my diet only problem is my HDL went from 47 to 36 my LDL went from 172 to 188 and my triglycerides went from 125 to 81 part of this is i been eating more saturated fats then mono and poly fats LOL should I be worried? I am working on lowering my LDL and raising my HDL without the statin because it does not make me feel good what you think doc? Also forgot to mention arthritis IN MY fingers got a lot better they don't ache anymore and my eczema does not bother me anymore so has been awesome.

@pragmatic111, every diet has its pros and cons, to me carnivore is disgusting. Consult your doctor to ensure the benefits outweigh the risks. Keep monitoring your blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol.

Only once a day? Measure 1-2 hours after meals.

1 to 2 hours after meals for checking the blood sugar level, is it correct?

@@earthcitizen4266 This shows you how high your blood sugar gets from your meal. As a person with Type 1 Diabetes, I test: Upon waking at a set time Two hours later Before meal #1. at 10-11 am After meal 1-2 hours later Again 2 hours after that Before meal #2. at 4-5 pm After meal 1-2 hours later Again 2 hours after that In Evening Before bed At 3 am Before driving anywhere If flying Before during and after exercise Before during and after strenuous activity * Also at any time I feel symptoms of something ‘off’ 🙂

Maybe eat after 12-13 hours to maintain insulin sensitivity.

And one time oh I was 220 pounds, and yes I know it wasn’t the proper thing to do, but I went on a one meal a day diet that I ate in the evening with my husband and family, and I lost 30 pounds in three months, and what I did in the daytime if I was out running around I’d have a diet Dr Pepper in the morning and one at lunch, that’s probably why I ended up with kidney stones by the least I weighed 190 pounds instead of 220! When it is important you can do it, specially when you have two kids and you can’t eat up all of the food in the house because you can’t afford it
@guacnroll66612 жыл бұрын
Wow Peggy good job losing 30 pds! Why add kidney stones to deal with? Why drink diet anything!!! You're cleaning up your body only to inject the chemicals they use to make your drink of choice. Try waters you can brew instead. Stinging nettle is one of many. Barley water is another. Use cinnamon from Ceylon and ginger. Investigate your options. I am in Acapulco and my mother in law has/had t2 diabetes for years. She is going on 93 yo. All is under control by diet rich in a variety of foods and herbs and by the way she loves a bottle of coca cola (never diet) but in moderation.
