Sugarpill Fun Size Palette versus Pro Palette/Single Eyeshadows / BATTLE OF THE PALETTES

Hi everyone and thanks for tuning in! Today I'm comparing and contrasting the two Sugarpill palettes that I own: Sugarpill Fun Size Palette and BYO Pro Palette. I recreated a grungy rainbow look that I did on my instagram also. Watch to see a demo of both of these palettes side by side plus my thoughts on formula/comparisons. I always wanted to buy sugar pill but the pan size always stopped me. I just know I can’t get through it all, so the mini def is more appealing to me. I hope they explore these smaller pans more.

Thank you for sharing this! I have a relaxed workplace dress policy, so I'm always looking to bring more color without TOO much intensity, and this tutorial was PERFECT. I never thought to use "Continue" to create that grungy look! I did buy Love+ when I got this palette, and IA the pigmentation on the singles can be... intense. I also like how the palette is a bit more user friendly, so to speak. Still gives you that pigmentation (but making sure you really want it LOL) It's great to have you back!

Oh I'm glad that this has been helpful to you! I wish I could wear this kind of colours to work.. but I'm on mat leave now so I can wear whatever I want for the next 3 months :-D Totally agree! I definitely find this easier to work with for my personal preference with applying eyeshadows. I mostly like to build things up slowly unless I'm using a colour for a liner. I find that you get a more diffused look that way!

Thank you for this! I agree, the palette is a beautiful color story. I don’t use my singles to create an entire look but for the best red or the best pink or... And now that Acidberry is discontinued it is one of my most prized possessions 💚

I've seen quite a few looks from the Fun Size palette now, and yours is by far my favorite! I love the grungy-ness. When I first saw the yellow I thought it didn't fit with the rest of the palette, because it wasn't very pastel, but now I see it fits quite well and adds some versatility.

I love watching you create. It's so soothing to see artistry and experimentation. I really hope that Sugarpill do more palettes in this format. I have some of the singles but they tend to get lost in my stash. This palette isn't a colour scheme that grabs me but I'll be watching for them again.

So much about the fun size palette appeals to me: size, portability, amount of product, packaging, and the shades themselves. The mustard yellow may be the tipping point. I’ve been resisting but I think it will be mine eventually.

This is a really cute palette, but I have come to realize I don't use pastels much and between my Sugarpill quads and the UD Electric palette I am covered for life in the colourful eyeshadow department. Suqqu's moisture lipsticks are incredibly pleasant to wear, I adore the shade I got! Thank you for enabling me to buy Suqqu!!!!

I probably am too although I really am lusting after the Viseart Grande Pro 3 palette because I've already got Pro 1 & 2 and it's an all matte colourful palette (except no purples which is a bummer so technically not a rainbow palette) but I'm going to hold off because I'm doing some major upgrades to the home which is $$$$ so I cannot spend so frivolously right now. I'm so glad you like the Suqqu products you've tried!! :-D

Yes Maxwell is traditionally a Scottish surname - since my husband's background is Scottish/Irish it seemed fitting plus it was the only name we could agree on. Literally the only one! Haha.. Joseph seemed like the perfect name and for us it was hard to top. We also both liked Maxwell Smart from Get Smart so I guess perhaps it came from that too. Thank you so much

I love this look so much! Especially with the Suqqu lip, it’s so cool! I’m always down for colour and this mini palette attracted me because of the mustard. It does feel a little less pigmented than the larger singles though. But it’s definitely better than the Little Twin Stars palette by a long shot 😆 I waaaant to see your haul from when you were bored, it sounds so much fun!

Hello Melissa! Very nice eye look and love the Suqqu lip color. I think the fall will be covered in rainbow and pastels. I thought we were emerging into cool waters. There seems to be a stop in the flow. It is interesting what brands are doing, and who are following the trend. Yes, haul us please. :) P.S. Sugarpill definitely has some of the best pastel colors. I need to get some shadows for my eyeshadow collection.

Thanks Keisha! It seems like that's the trend recently. Cool toned palettes still being released but more of them are mixed with warm tones which I don't mind. Haul coming too :-D Hope you've been well!

I definitely see the trend of cools with warms. I prefer them to be separate for some reason unless they are in larger palettes (then we get like 2-3 type of palettes in one). I can see it gives a variety to a look with both. Since some of us have preferences, some may not get used. lol Thank you for asking about my well-being. I have been a bit frustrated this week. Then my computer decided to give troubles yesterday to not be able to upload a video I pre-planned to upload. And then work on another. It is a bummer. :( So to take my mind off of it, I have been going through my makeup to organize better so I can get more use of these products.

Happy first post-confinement video! :D I love the eye look! Both sides look pretty similar, I think I prefer the red lower lash line, love me some red eyeshadow :D. Also, that lipstick shade looks stunning on you! Especially with this grungy look! Yes to smaller palettes, I don't know why brands keep releasing huge palettes, you cannot travel with them, it's difficult to store them and they usually have a lot of repeat shades... Ohh, haul?? Yes please, I would love that. I haven't watched OG haul in a quite some time. I love the ikebana, your mum is very talented, it looks as if those flowers are dancers, or that's the story I see. But I'm guessing that the lower flower fell down quickly, so let's say it went for another dance partner :D

Haha should do! I know.. I really dislike large palettes but I like the quality of their eyeshadows so I keep it despite the inconvenience of the size!! And thank you. My mum gifted me the headband when she went to Studio Ghibli in Japan. I have seen them on eBay though!

I was tempted by the sugar pill palette, but my other colour obsessed friends said that the strobe cosmetics Creepy Cute palette was much more pigmented and true pastels. Do you have that palette? I looked to buy it but the shipping cost to Australia just kills me.

Yes I have the Creepy Cute and to me that is a true pastel palette where else I wouldn't consider this one an all pastel palette although there are some shades that have a pastel tone to them, the white base isn't as strong so while you can create a pastel look with some of the shades, it's not necessarily what I'd do with this palette. Personally I prefer this one as I think it's more versatile that than the Creepy Cute but if you want pastels I go for that one. The pastels in that palette are more vibrant and pigmented.

I personally wouldn’t mind that this mini palette is a little less pigmented than the singles. Super pigmented eyeshadows are kind of annoying to me. I’d rather build something up, especially with colorful shades. I LOVE this lip color! I might have to see if I can find it somewhere that will ship it to the US.

I feel the same way too. Pigmented colourful shades are great if you want to use them as a liner or packed on rather than blended so for my personal preference with application of makeup this formula suits me much more. I believe Bon Bon Cosmetics sells Suqqu and ships to the US as all their prices are in USD.

I’m actually totally into this palette! Sugarpill is really an online brand so it’s hard for me to buy in store, but I heard this palette is being sold at Ulta Stores so if I see it I’m totally getting it. These shades would be lovely to use everyday (at least for me :)

Ooh that would be cool if they were in Ulta. It's great that more indie brands are being stocked in brick and mortar stores then you can swatched and make a more informed purchase as you're going in a bit blind buying online.

Ulta has it in the prestige section in a little display for up-and-coming brands with other indie companies. You can see if it's in stock at your store via their website, which I recommend because mine was sold out.
