Missing Mumbai🤩. Podi for idlis is very easy to make, dry roast equal measures of chana dal and urad dal, some sesame seeds and red chillies (as per your spice quotient) separately and on cooling down, powder coarsely with some hing powder and salt to taste. Voila idli podi is ready. Best had it smeared on top of idli with sesame oil (my grandma used to call this painted idlis)...she used to paint the idlis well for the umpteen number of guests who visited her for their return train journeys.

Hi shewtha . Nice by covering all street food from MUMBAI . I lived Matunga since my birth . I live Matunga east for 49 years . The original taste of authentic food is changed because u don’t cook from south now sambar they add good and taste changes . All this guju taste no Tamils live now all Kachi. I am living in usa 🇺🇸 the original taste has gone I am now 74 years old living inSeven Bungalows . Well done . I like meet u personally when I back to MUMBAI 👍🏼 god bless u

Hi Shweta! Lovely video, amazing food, and very beautifully presented by you; you had me drooling at all the delicious food :) Next time you're in Matunga, you must definitely try "Chatai pav bhaji" at King's Circle..... It's a streetside stall, and he sets up every evening on the footpath opposite Cafe Madras.... The reason it's called Chatai pav bhaji is because the owner doesn't have tables and chairs, so he lays out chatais on the ground and you sit down on the chatai cross-legged just like at home! And the pav bhaji is made on a coal sigri, and the taste is just brilliant, out of this world!!! Sitting on a chatai and relishing it literally takes it to the next level!

Madam, u just try in boriwali west ,there is an one hotel which serve unlimited pavbhaji for RS. 150 only.and plus punjabi dish, Chinese dish, French dish for rs.300 unlimited. U just try it on this restaurant
