Worth looking at the new version 4 just out. It doesn't use this movement, it switched to the 41 jewel RX clone movement now. The case has been redesigned and it has a new crown/guard as well.

I own one of these I've had it for about 3 months it came regulated and is usually less than -5 seconds per day for anyone wondering how accurate they can be I wore it for about two weeks straight without adjusting the time and it was still accurate to the minute.

Beautiful watch indeed, without prejudice to the quality of its caliber. But it doesn't matter: the simple revision of this chronograph and its three sub-dials will cost you the same price or even more than the watch itself. And then you say to yourself that ultimately, it's expensive for a disposable watch!

I received the watch today. I can confirm everything you said about the watch. Incredible quality in every way. BUT THERE IS SOMETHING I NEED POINT OUT! The wristband is very short and does not fit me at all. There are no extra links included. Be very careful when you have stronger hand wrists.

But this will take forever again until it arrives. Maybe I will buy a link somewhere else for the time being - it's a standard 16 mm link - someone should provide it at a reasonable price. Pretty watch, and no doubt good value for what it is. I avoid mechanical chronographs because of the number of things that can go wrong and the cost of a service sometime down the road, not to mention the initial purchase price. If I were to buy this, it would be the white dial, no contest. But I already have a Seiko VK63 powered "version" of this that I acquired for ~22% of the price. I'm very pleased with my choice., but I'm sure people who buy this guy will be pleased as well.

They have been using a 7750 clone in rep watches for over a decade. When you get a good one they're great but I've had so many that have stopped ticking quite quickly.

Great video Zeb, due to work pressure, still catching up with your videos. This is a lovely watch but in my opinion it's too much for a watch vwith basically no warranty in practice. It's a lot of money if you have a problem and are depending on sending it back to China for a warranty check. I just ordered an Orient Chronograph, about the same price as this and a 2 year warranty with an Orient service center available. This Sugess is definitely worth the money, but with the warranty situation, you could be throwing away $400.

Cost aside what to go for, this or the Ix&Dao Engineer. I think my only issue with this is that a Daytona is so ubiquitous thst people will see and think 'fake Rolex' no matter what name is on it, whereas not many people would know about the IWC Ingenieur.

Very interesting. My main concern personally would be the movement. Even if its fantastic, a service or repair one day may prove tricky with watch makers being a bit touchy about servicing clone movements.

Hi NerieL , I have recently bought the Sugess Starbucks homage . I also own the San Martin Sn017 v2 subby homage. Personally I think my Starbucks homage by Sugess is way better than the San Martin , the finishing is way better ( no sharp edges on the case or braces) it’s a less bulky case unlike the maxi case of the San Martin , the ceramic insert is more true to the subby ( the inlay pip is more of a pearl that’s applied ) the bracelet is to die for , it’s very comfortable and has a glidelock adjustment clasp like the true subby. The only weak point is the lume which isn’t brilliant. If that’s not a deal breaker for you , I’d highly suggest the Sugess Starbucks homage .

Yeh the watch looks great. That's the next step that they need to apply themselves but it's so difficult for an original design to come out of China as this is their forte and how they sell their watches. Maybe they need to transition into that as i do think they are capable

The answer to your question is simple - fear. They know that an homage watch, especially to a Daytona, which is literally impossible to obtain, WILL sell. It’s a popular design, and they can rely on it to sell. Also, since it’s a copy, there’s pretty much no development costs. With something original, there’s no guarantee that it will sell, and then they could potentially be out their costs for development of an original design.

My advise for best homage chronograph is Tudor Montecarlo 7031/32 bicompax manual wind (the first watch who used chrono oyster case with crown guard....16 years before the daytona) or the underrated Tudor Montecarlo 94300 tri-compax automatic.....this two watches are not in production The best daytona homage is the daytona-zenith and the 3-6-9 sub-dial disposition and a stainless steel bezel, just use a 7753 The 7750 clone is reliable but what's about the module (a plate who change the sub-dial disposition and add thickness for the watch)

This looks pretty amazing for the money, but they really need to work on the script on the dial - and, if I'm honest, on their brand name. "Sugess" just doesn't work. And the rest of that script at the 12 looks just off - the font almost looks like one of those stereotypical "Asian" fonts that some Chinese restaurants (or McDonald's during "Asia Weeks") use. Plus there needs to be some sort of logo near the 12 I think to get closer to the original's look. The way this dial is designed right now, I think I'd rather have this watch with a sterile dial.
