After owning 7 watches I have realized that my favorite " The watch for life" is " Rolex Day Date" (Homages). My love for day dates started with Citizen AW0100-86A. I have recently bought Pagani DD40 Green dial with Gold bracelet and love it to bits. I dream of getting a more expensive Sugess ice blue day date in the near future , may be as a gift to my self when I become a father again. I love your videos. @@EscapeWheel Mr Steve, My Pagani watch came un-regulated and it gains around 30 seconds per day . I am wondering if this Sugess day date comes regulated ? If not what Chinese brands regulate their watches before shipping ? This is because I have somewhat of an OCD regarding the accuracy of watches. May be that is why I love Casio and Citizen so much as they are super accurate even after months. I really appreciate your reviews and insights on KZbin and Reddit and we immensely enjoy the fruits of your work. Thank you and may you be well.

@@MettaLovingKindness Pagani definitely does NOT regulate their movements. I'd say only a couple do regulate and only 1 guaranteed. Proxima does indeed regulate, and they send a picture before they send the watch. I believe San Martin and IXDAO also regulate. Possibly Baltany as well. If you stick to quartz movements you'll be happier. VK chronographs, and VH31 3 handers

Great review as always. That instant switch over on the date is pretty damn cool. I only have Seiko movements and have worked overnight shifts watching them agonizingly switch the date over a three hour span. Ha! Seestern is hands down my favorite Ali Brand, but I’ve never really given Sugess a look. That may be changing. Thanks again!

I think (but could be wrong) sugess and seestern are the same brand in the same way seiko and Lorus are the same brand or i guess more so king seiko and seiko

I just got mine, screws are destroyed! I hammered the screw pins back in, scratches everywhere. Looks like a used watch, and only had it for two hours. It's definitely going to be a beater watch now! I ordered the 'Daytona ' Sugess on sale, also. If the screws are like this one, it's getting sent back! And all stick to San Martin's. 5 San Martin's now and never an issue!

Great in depth review as always 👍 . The bling bezel, polished case and bracelet are just too much, a leather strap would tone it down, but 21mm lugs 👎

I didn't think I would like that much the white dial. It really is a good looking watch. It's on my wishlist, but I have to choose between this one and the Cronos. But I have to save money 😅 As always, great review, Steve! Honest, complete, with wonderful pictures at the intro. This is excellent 👌

Seagull 's been making watch movements since 1955, before Miyota which started in 1959. Their movements are top notch.

Does look decent, but I have this strange tolerance view with homages. If it's a tool watch, I can tolerate and generally accept them. But when they are more moving into the dress category, I find them tacky, even though this is a decent watch. Just some weird quirk in my mind. I'm not much of a fan of the fluted bezel, even on the R brand. I much prefer the thin high polish bezel and dome sapphire combo on the SN020 instead. Only my 2 cents worth. The white dial is very nice for these types of watches though.

I was initially gonna say the purity of the white colour, but then dang, that sounds a bit whack in this multicultural world we live in. So had to rephrase. Lol

I cant decide if i want the Cadisen or Sugess. Since the Sugess is double the Price, is it worth it? Is there any difference in the quality? i like the Sugess Logo way more, but idk if i wanna pay 140$ more if theres no other difference.

I also found that the date is misaligned to the left, not center. 😢 If Sugess can correct this defect, it is a nice watch.

My only gripe about the sugess and it's kinda a big deal for me, is the bezel. I noticed it right away, owning a cronos myself, that bezel was a huge it factor for me of getting it and I never regret. Too bad cronos doesn't make a dd homage. I have a sugess sub and imo it's the best sub homage out of all the ali Express brands subs

I am just VERY underwhelmed with the Cronos Colorways. if they made it in a bunch of colors I'd be more inclined...white, black, dark blue, ice blue, "grape" ...but they chose silver, gray, and an electric blue...and I think now a green?

Very tough. My only complaint with to sell is from the past and I don't know if they have fixed the issues...it's with their bracelets being of lesser quality steel, rusting basically.

Yup, Cronos wins. Best fluted bezel out there. I just am not a fan of the colors they offer, only reason I got this.

I’ve recently bought the ice blue version of this watch. Great overall. However I am returning it because there’s some major friction when I wind the watch. I am afraid that if I wind it more and more that I would break it. I don’t know how lenient Sugess is with returns. Does anyone have issues returning their Sugess? Thanks.

They seem to be hit and miss. My suggestion is to just not wind it at all, or much. A few turns to get it going, set the time, and wear it. No need to crank the crown 40 times a day

Good idea. I was considering the Pagani Design 1752 Ice blue in 36mm but the bracelet killed the deal for me. If PD did a full presidential bracelet, I would get it hands down. A couple of gripes with DD40, that winding resistance and the slight cant of the date to the left. Other than that, the watch is great quality for under $300. Some Seikos don’t even come close to this level of finishing. Tremendous value. My wife thought I bought a Rolex Day Date. 😂 I told her, I’m not dropping a mortgage down payment on a watch. That wouldn’t be financially unwise. 😂 I told her one day though I will get a Rolex OP or DateJust. Those are my two favorite Rolex watch styles.

Great review! Just some random feedback that I think could help your views. The intro to the video was too long and I was tempted to find another review.
