LMFAO that's the exact reason I'm here, I never played innocence but Requiem was free so I got it, just got to the part in the beginning where they make it to the new house and was confused by Hugo's black veins and blackouts lol

I remember checking this game out of the library back in 2020, and finished it. I was sad I had to return it, and haven’t played Innocence since. The problem with getting the game is that it’s not available at stores. My birthday was last week, and my family bought me a PlayStation 5 which I was surprised by because I didn’t think I’d get it for ten years for how expensive it is, and my mom bought me Requiem. I thought I’d have get the first game myself, and play it all over again to refresh my memory. Thank you for this recap.

Thanks so much for the recap! It's been years since I played innocence, and I definitely didn't remember it well enough at all, because when I started Requiem, I was confused at Beatrice being alive, and Arthur being dead. Paused about 10 minutes in to give this a watch, and it was well needed. Now I can go in to Requiem unconfused without having to replay Innocence.

I played A Plague Tale innocence and almost beat it. I got stuck at the final boss for like 10 hours and just gave up so I don’t know the ending

I recommend watching someone's playthrough of the end of the game if you really really can't beat it. This is a good video for the most basic plot beats to refresh your memory, but this game hinges so strongly on its story that you really need to see the final moments for yourself.

I really didn't like this game. I got the platinum so I really didn't miss anything the game had to offer. Hugo was (like most of the characters) extremely annoying, the gameplay was beyond clunky, I ran into many bugs and the story felt so goofy by the end. I'm not getting the hype behind it. I'll try the next one on GamePass and see how it goes but I guess this series just isn't for me?
