In about the 7th or 8th grade, a new metal head friend of mine told me about Suicidal Tendencies and lent me his CD. He said, “Make sure I get it back.” Of course I did. Hell, at the time, I think I had literally just gotten my first CD player, a component CD player that I picked up relatively cheap (at the time for a CD player) from Sears Surplus. CD players were still pretty new at the time. I had never heard of Suicidal Tendencies before then but I listened to the CD and it made one hell of an impact. I’m 45 now and I still freakin’ love these guys and especially this song which for me was the most memorable from my first time listening to the CD.

@larrote6467
@larrote6467 3 жыл бұрын
@@colonelkilling2425 the reason why there's usually confusion here is because rap isn't a genre nor a style and it never was. To Rap as a way of singing has existed for a looooong time and we can find recorder examples as early as the 50's and even so, rapping has been part of punk's repertoire since its inception (one of the ways you do very short songs with lots of lyrical content). So what Mike is doing at the end is just a normal part of punk.

Absolutely one of the most underrated bands of all time. Rocky George is one of the best shredders and is never mentioned. Great musicianship from everyone in the band. Cyco Mikos lyrics creativity is second to none. A metal band that still adds tons of passion and feeling while still being very heavy at times. Several great records.

😅Back in 1993 I built up my first car stereo in my car. S. T. Was some of the first sounds to go blaring through my neighborhood and people asking what kind of system I had on that thing. Lol. Almost 50 and still blasting them on the car stereo. Now it's with a rear end full of subs on a 2500 watt system..

Now I can die happy, cuz I saw ST live in São Paulo in 2012 in The middle of São João Avenue and we kicked ass at the hardest Suicyco Pit. Long life to Mike Muir, fellas. Greetings from Brazil.
