I feel the same. I'm tired of playing a game that isn't finished on release and the devs waiting for player input to decide how the game should proceed. When, the things the players mention are things that should be included in the game in the first place before release. So, is our input actually worth anything? Probably not that much. We're just given the false confirmation that our ideas help develop the game. I feel that's the way these live service games are made. Release the bare minimum with some basic things not included. And drip feed them into the game as time goes on, to help prolong the life of the live service. My time is better spent on a game that is finished.

I don't mind a co-op game I don't mind a Suicide Squad game I don't even mind that it would be in the Arkham universe IF IT WAS GOOD But no, it's just a generic live service looter shooter, with exceptionally bad design when it comes to UI elements It doesn't feel like it fits inside the Arkham universe at all, you'd get whiplash going from the end of Arkham Knight to this game The city looks pretty but empty, just boring to explore The combat just looks flashy and colorful without much of actual depth and interest, which of course is done so that people will be blinded by the pretty colors and think it's better than it actually is The missions are the same cookie cutter bullshit you've seen before "go here, kill x amount", "go there, protect this thing", "go to this other place, collect data" There's just nothing that actually has any value in it. No actual stakes. No actual impact.

Yeah I was thinking back to Arkham Knight's DLCs with Harley and even better the Red Hood DLC and I thought that type of gameplay is what we were going to get in the Suicide Squad game. But instead they turned it into a fast paced shooter with a melee ability once in a while. It doesn't look like a bad game, but it also doesn't look like the game they should have made. I would have never guessed that BOTH the DC games they announced ages ago (Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad) would disappoint me. But here we are.

I actually don’t know anything about this franchise and as a complete noob, this game just looks like you can do completely nuts things. The gameplay appears to be fun. If they’re doing anti heroes that use gear, then the looter shooter thing makes sense. And I don’t mind taking out some DC heroes. That’s part of the fun, no?

I feel like once people heard live service ... it hurt them. I dont typically play games like this BUT I do love DC and Marvel. So I may give it a shot . For me this will be a new experience since I play games like MMO's, BG3 type games, dragon dogma... lots of RPG type games.... not usually looter shooter types. Most likely will wait for it to go down in price though. I would love to play as Harley! I do hope we dont get an unfinish game though. I agree 100 ... its getting old

Game studios will make what they want to make, not what YOU want them to make. You either buy into it or not. That's the studios risk. All that said, I would rather stick my head into a box of lit fireworks than play this flashy bag cash grab crap. You've heard it before, this type of game is a 'Slot Machine' game. It's made to a specific formula to keep you engaged with bright lights and to ensure you're spending your money over many months and possibly years to come. When it comes to this game, you need to stop thinking about the Devs delivering a game you can just have fun in and then move on (that would be a studio failure), and instead think of this type of game as a 'spreadsheet'. Because the bottom line from the studio on this one is "buy the game and give us your money....and then keep giving us your money". Remember. The execs want this slot machine game to print money, your money. And they've chosen one of the biggest franchises to get them where they need to be.

Eh here’s the issue though. Live Service games have more failures than success. Even more so this coming from a studio known for single player story driven games not live service titles. The failure of avengers and rightly so is why people are skeptical. Also the demo’s confirmed alot of the issues people had when they said this was going to be live service ie no offline solo play till months later down the line, boring and bland gameplay loop which they confirmed is in the game. Numerous other examples. So why should we give them the benefit of the doubt? This game doesn’t look impressive or compelling at all.

One major issue with Batman Beyond is that Neo Gotham city is a very three dimensional place. Yea you have game that really like to push their vertical in marketing like Tears of the Kingdom and armored core, but once you touch those games it’s clear you still stuck on a flat 2d plain and the vertical is entirely buzzwords bs. But in Batman Beyond you have to address that Neo Gotham and Batman operate in hight 3D space.

To each their own. I love comics. DC, Marvel, Valiant, Image, Top Cow... I've always taken to the villains and anti-heroes. I didn't read Batman comics for Batman. I wanted to see his rogue gallery. Same with Spiderman. And you get to play a bad guy here. I prefer a single player experience or 180° into MMO territory. Not really into co-op. But I keep an open mind. The graphics are amazing.

I love seeing all the hate this game is getting without it even being out yet. I agree that games shouldn't be excused for releasing a piece of trash to the public especially from a triple A company. But all the comments I read hating on the game don't have any substance, "The gameplay doesn't look fun" when has that ever been an argument for any game that its a bad game. If you don't like how a game looks don't play it lmao, One thing is saying that it is buggy or the gameplay is actually garbage but from all the reviews I have seen they all say the play test was fun. The only people who didn't like it were the journalist who got their hands on it. Which in my opinion doesn't matter because they are the same people saying the new call of duty every year is amazing. The hate for this game legit made a senior AI developer for this game end his life. We cant judge the game until the full thing actually launches, and people seem to forget that when Arkham knight came out it had horrible reviews and was said to be the worst batman game to come out but then a couple years later people seem to have changed their mind. Im interested the concept but will see if it works. Im a bit anti hero so the idea of playing the kinda bad guy appeals. But games have to stop coming out broken. Iv gamed since my atari 400! And 😮 in the last 2 years iv gamed a lot less. In part i guess since less games due to covid, but also theyr just not very good. I even cancelled my gamepass since i was going months without a game i liked. Starfield was good. 12:29 Remnant 2 was great. Im a huge fan of destiny/division/type games. Just finished the cyberpunk expansion. That was good. So we will see. Iv googled up coming games n suicide was about the only thing that peaked my interest in the next 3 months. Cheers :)

There is writing on the wall but that doesn’t mean we can’t wait for the the first 6 months after release for the actual funeral. And all three of the looter shooters I mentioned are still going. Destiny is in some trouble but it’s not stopping and it’s nearly been going for 10 years while Warframe is the same or more and the division 2 is getting a sequel so they’re throbbing along. But that’s a strong point about a number of Rocksteady devs leaving. I heard something about that but didn’t follow it up so that could be bad but I’ll wait AT LEAST for the reviews.

The reason why people are shitting on this game so hard is because they're disappointed that it's not a batman game, he even said that himself so automatically that already means your going into this game with a straight biased and skewed opinion/view. Second if you already hate the game from what you see don't buy the shit so you can just "hate play" the game, how is that any fun? Third, shooting in a game where you play as a villian doesn't seem ridiculous tbh, villains always shoot heroes whenever they get a chance, it's literally what most villians do. @openworldgames i will say, I was lucky enough to get into the 3 day closed pre alpha beta testing and the gameplay is very smooth, intuitive, and fun. The controls were confusing though at first. So gameplay wise I will plant my flag and say it's super fun. Obviously there was no monetization in it so I can't say anything about that but just go by their word and believe that we'll just be paying for a battle pass and costumes/dlc characters. And in the beta we did get pass a certain part of act 3 and got to mess around with the upgrade systems 👀 it was a small taste but I saw some people I was teaming up with using different styles of gameplay then I was depending on how they upgraded their specific character

Unless the games storyline is incredibly short (which is very bad) there's no reason for a player to have to wait to act 3 to start messing around with builds. Now if it's chapter 3 out of say 15 chapters that's fine. On another note, I'd like to see a DC version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance with the story focused on the Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline. The number of villains and hero's to fight and choose would be amazing.

Ok I’m sorry but the hate this game is getting almost feels like propaganda why don’t people actually look at the gameplay, the movement, the abilities, the loot, the amount of build crafting possible, all of it seems very good for a looter shooter game. I watched the actual fans of looter shooter and they all had positive opinions and shared real criticism on it, so is simply a game for looter shooter fans. The one thing everyone agrees on is that there’s to much stuff going on which is the one thing they have to change cause even if you can turn a lot of the stuff off it doesn’t fix the amount of things happening in the screen.

@@ragingguts yes that’s the thing, ppl like that style of game is the reason games like Borderlands, Destiny and The Division are liked so it all goes back to the same thing, people don’t like the genre so they hate on it which is no different than a player that for example doesn’t like FPS games hating on them just cause they don’t like the genre

Ugliest versions of dc characters they cooked up yet. The uglification of pop culture and video game characters is real, at least tekken 8 is staying true

It's like I always said. History always has a habit of repeating. And this is no exception. You all talk bad about Arkham asylum when it was introduced and it became a great game. And you're all repeating the same crap yet again. If you don't like the game that's fine. But every time we get something decent all y'all do is cry
