my horse used to be a fox hunter but then he moved to a different barn and was completely neglected, no food, no water, and tied to a shed. he was pure bone. he also became blind in one eye so he licks to get to know you. now he’s a jumper and he trusts me with all his heart. so to simply priceless (henry) i love you. :)

Confused. Didn't you visit him everyday or at least once a week? When my one was in training, I drove every day to check on him. He was my top proprietary. Then he came home. All was OK.

These horses are trained professionals. And they love this. They wouldn't endure the hunt if not capable of doing it. These riders know the potential of their horse. And any true horse person never asks more than their horse can. I've hunted for years. My qualified hunter enjoy the outing. Once only 5 of us remained in the field after the hunt was over. We wanted more, but let the horses
@equine202011 ай бұрын
But let the horses decide. They could see the stables. But all 5 horses turned back into the hunt country. No guidance from us, we threw away the reins. Another hr & we came in. Even when I'd put him & my other thoroughbred in my schooling field, he'd run & jump over the jumps kicking his heels up. If the horse is in a discipline they are capable of doing ,& trained right, yes they enjoy their jobs.
@equine202011 ай бұрын
Remember we're risking our necks too. If we think a particular jump is too difficult, we'll seek another path.
@equine20209 ай бұрын
Pls, if you're not experienced in horses& the disciplines, don't say the horse is being abused. We ask nothing of our horses that we won't do. If the horse 🐴 is trained for its job. They like it. My hunter always gets excited going to a meet. I'd say the horses these people hunt are well cared for. My horse always comes 1st before me. My meals & bath comes after I've gotten him settled in. 3ft of straw. Nice meal & water. And this after I rub him down & groom him. I'd die before he'd be hurt. I've sat all night with him if he's off a bit. He loves his job.

Ok outlaw all hunters!!! At least foxhunting, the injured animal shot or hit with an arrow is allowed to crawl away to suffer a long painful death slowly bleeding to death. Foxes are predators, kill livestock & pets. Farmers ask we hunt. Plus others also hunt foxes. Give it a rest. We only ask from our horse what we're doing. And we know the capabilities of our horse. They're trained for this. Of course it's a dangerous sports. Many are. Do you condem & stop them? Or is it deep down jealousy you feel?

@@Joe-ng9ny good morning joe and a very happy holiday to you. Thank you for your response, however the original reply was my daughter who was using my KZbin account at the time for a number of years, as this comment was 11 months ago that would make her only 12 at the time, I suppose I don’t whip my children hard when they don’t do what I ask and I’m guessing in her mind set of comparison as a 12 year old this sport makes no sense to her. I think there could be an educational response that our older, “wiser” generation could give to explain why this is rather than just trolling on a platform and giving reactive responses to the audience. But thanks again for your reply I’ll be sure to let her know how hard you whip your horse when he doesn’t do as you ask and a very happy new year to you.
