Everyone’s trying to say they’re not hating on this, I’ll come straight out, I’m hating on this. It isn’t safe for the horses, it’s cruel for the foxes. The foxes are living in their land and forests, not even in populated areas. People are jumping wires without protection boots and constantly hitting their horses because they won’t jump dangerous ditches. It’s not safe, and the stats of injuries agree with me. Certain riders are extremely rude and treat their horses as machines. It’s a outdated sport. Culture doesn’t equal cruelty free.

@@Adri_and_orca hounds are very easily distracted. Once they’ve caught wind of a fox they’ll immediately chase after it. This how so many of these hunts get away with killing foxes without being prosecuted. They use a loophole within the system in which they pretend like it was an “accident” when in reality the hunt knew full well what they were doing. The only way to get rid of these loopholes is to ban all these sports outright. This is also how almost all hunts inevitably end up on privately owned land. They follow the hounds onto other people’s properties and naturally the hounds harass and sometimes kill livestock or pets. But of course the hunt don’t care anymore about people’s pets and livestock then they do the foxes they want to rip apart for giggles.

Hey there let’s count all the people who say this is abuse ! Thanks you for your input but it won’t be needed today. I understand you might think this is “abuse” and what not but really if you looked into it and if you did some research, fun fact it’s actually not that bad. Mind. Blown. These horses get more care than you could give your children and this is what these horses absolutely love to do. There is hardly ever any foxes actually killed on these hunts because it’s mostly done just to jump a few drains and have some fun with your horses. Yes of course I understand there has been times when horses have gotten injured on these hunts, maybe minor injuries, maybe fatal. And that goes the same for the riders. But people look upon it as “they don’t care if their horse gets hurt”. We do care. So so much. As I said, hunters do love their horses. As do showjumpers. Horses also can get fatally injured in showjumping and riders are left devastated. Hunting is the same thing really just a bit more rough and tough, but these horses are built for this as showjumpers are built for showjumping. Injuries do happen I understand, to both horse and rider, but that’s a risk we take and everybody who has no idea what real hunting is can sit here and comment about how it’s abuse. I mean ya sure whatever you think yourself doll

The haters need to officially back of because like him and me a lot of other people know that its NOT abuse!! Haters sit down now and say sorry for what you said! Every horse that is hunting a non animal sent (for this instants) loves what they do and wont stop. Yes they do get hurt but this is what they were breed to do and this is what the riders themselves want to do! A few jumps might be a bit dangerous but just like showjumping risk taking is the way of victory! Only last week did a French hores get injured whilst doing SHOWJUMPING! Now I've made my point I hope the haters now understand that a dangerous fall could just be around the corner for everyone and not just for hunters!!!!! 😎👏🏻Bye

Saying "good girl/boy" is not for the benefit of the horse; it's just one of many inputs they have to filter out as having no meaning for them. Same is true for the "patting". It’s all about having fun!! I’ve been riding horses for 4 years, every Saturday, and I’ve fallen off heaps of times, but did I give up? No, I keep going because I love it! when I fall I get up and get back on Immediately.

Many people in this comment section don't understand hunting whatsoever and it is highly infuriating seeing all these "know it all" spreading false information, people saying "horse abuse" have never went hunting in their lives and have probably never worked with horses! good on your horse and you girl you are fantastic at hunting and a amazing rider!

Jumping too many dangerous things. If the horse falls and breaks its leg, it's highly likely the horse with die or have to get put down.

It's only encouragement, trust me. Though it did seem bad, it was just a little push, as horses have high pain tolerances.
@lilywilliamson11556 жыл бұрын
@@briarrr__ dude, that is not encouragement. It seemed bad because I have eyes and I can see her whacking the horse on the ass, hard. A horse can literally feel a fly land on its skin and you want to tell me that this wouldn't hurt? If your horse isn't exposed enough to something that frightens it, it should never be treated like this. I feel sorry for any horses you ride if you think that's ok.

Honestly, I’ve done the same. This horse may just have an issue with ditches. The only way to get them to do it sometimes is by a smack. Watch the lead horse in a pasture. It bullies the others into listening. I’m not saying it’s always the right answer, but in this case, kick, wack, grab mane.

wrong and wrong. look at 5:00 does that horse want to jump? no, they made it jump. also look at how many of the horses that fall, land akwardly or hit the jumps. no horse is built to jump this. No horse is truely built to jump over and over again. just look at how many jumpers that end up with arthritis

Why is it that people think that the harder they hit ("pet") the horse, the more it feels appreciated? Their skin is so delicate. It does not make pleasure to be "pet" that way. Also, hitting a horse with the stick (I don't know the english term) was so rude. People, you need to work with your horses, not torture them. So many good riders, and yet some bastards. Congrats to all that got back to the saddle after a fall. I am always shaing after that!
