I had to share it again on my FB page, I never get bored to listen to your Bach and guitar. I have a Vowinkel spruce 2022!

I have listened to every possible recording of Bach Lute Suites on both guitar and lute, and there is always at least one thing or certain passage that I would change. That is until now. His interpretation is outstanding

La interpetación más bella que hasta el momento oí de la Suite BWV de J.S. Bach. ¡Felicitaciones!

Beyond the technicalities of every piece rendered by this maestro, there's something else impossible to describe, perhaps the aliveness, the spirit, the soul, how he empty himself to provide us that joy of being alive to taste every masterpiece he interpret. Thank you maestro!

Very eloquently expressed, Mr. López! You clearly feel that special aura in his art which I can only call the "spiritual" (not in any religious sense, but in the artist's expression of great depth of feeling). The current stage is saturated with many, many guitarrists: the technical standards over the years have evolved considerably (kids now whip off "Asturias" or "Paganini's 24th Caprice" effortlessly - compare this to the playing of those young students of Segovia's 1960 masterclasses), but the musicianship we see (and feel) in Mr. Redzic is rare in any age. Over repeated viewings, I am astonished to discover just how subtly he shapes his musical phrases and conceives new approaches (take his Villa-Lobos, for example) that render the old music new, without any gimmicks. With many guitarrists, I feel foremost the focus on perfect technique and tone production: with Mr. Redzic it is the exquisitely sculpted musical phrasing, like those best writers (think of Emerson) who, stringing along meaningful sentences one after the other, just envelop the mind of the reader with powerful imagery, insight and a greater understanding of whatever the subject may be.

Just to add quickly to your much appreciated and sensitive comment, this is the point of music and art: sure to delight, entertain (in the deeper sense of sparking our focus on something worthwhile and mindful), bring pleasure and joy to the heart and also to really move and touch us and fuel our own sensibility and humanity. The greatest music really conveys the ineffable or non-representational (that which cannot be expressed verbally or through other means) and Bach is the highest (albeit not the sole one) example of such art. Music works directly on human consciousness as a kind of spiritual meditation and emotional catalyst. It brings us therefore joy to see a great artist and musical poet like Mr. Redzic appreciated in an age of confusion, anxiety and rampant hatred: things which Mr. Redzic, coming from Bosnia knows very well and whose dark shadows he has transformed into something luminous. That is the kind of revolution in human consciousness that works best and endures!

@@robertoalexandre4250 Thank you Mr. Alexandre. Art is certainly the expression of the One Consciousnes. Music perhaps the most pure of them, after the beauty of sound arrive the deep silence, the astonishing evidence of THIS, the contentment of just been here and now; but art is also the precise task of putting together those "bricks" to express the inexpressible, I'm referring to the words, the language...and in this respect you did it perfectly. Thanks again.

David Russell's wonderful recent videos of the Bach suites have generated a lot of positive response and this is understandable as he is one of the great guitarists of all time. But if I had to pick, I would take Mr. Redzic's Bach performances for their much more nuanced interpretations and subtle phrasing: sure, he doesn't use those crispy cross-string trills like Russel and Paul Galbraight, but that is mereky stylistic. He has, IMO, plunged deeper into the heart of Bach than David Russel (Galbraight made his statement with the BWV1004 Chaconne, but less in the Suites and Sonatas and Partitas): no wish to make qualitative comparisons as I love all these artists but rather to point out the excellence of a lesser known name (Mr. Redzic) who I see as firmly entrenched by now in the highest echelons of the classical guitar pantheon. Furthermore, and this is rare among guitarists, Mr.Redzic's musicianship is at the top of that of any instrument. Which is to say: think about the greatest pianists or violonists of any age and Mr. Redzic can stand alongside with no problem. A bold statement, I agree. But Mr. Redzic is a bold musician!
