In Leviticus 23:40 we are commanded to rejoice, and in verse 42 we are told this is during the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles or Booths). It seems like an odd command, but is there a deeper meaning behind it, something where the physical reality and command teaches us a spiritual truth?

Staying focused on Christ gives us the mindset of continually being in the hurry to rid our self of sin. Just as the Apostle Paul compelled us to run the race. Be in a hurry to do something for such a great cause, will make it much easier to stay focused on our prize and less likely to sin. Procrastinating When God says go reveals double mindedness. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

When I was a child, I learned the Ten Commandments out of tradition and rote. Now that I am an adult, seeking to truly learn and commit to Father YAH's will, I am learning about all of His commandments out of my love for Him and my love for His Beloved Son, Our Lord and Reigning King YAHUSHA Ha'MASHIACH. I have recently watched a few of your videos and tested the teachings in them, as you invited your viewers to do. In my studies, they do align with The Scriptures. There is so much to learn,; therefore, I thank you for helping me to gain perspective and knowledge about the Holy Days/Observances-Yom Kippur and Sukkot; also about the 144,000; and other vitally important Scriptural topics, so that when I study more, I may able to bear witness to others about things truths. (I have inquired to several other sources about the 144,000 to try to get a better understanding; however, in most cases I never received a reply. This is a challenging topic; so thanks again!!) May Father YAH bless your ministry and continue to impart wisdom and light, according to His Holy Word.

Never really heard this angle before. With the idea of going from a more solidified dwelling place to a temporary/dreary one and eagerly wanting to return home....one can see how that concept is accomplished in Christ. After all He came down from the heavens to dwell in this uncomfortable tent (human flesh), he dealt with elements unfamiliar to him and I’m sure he was more than eager to return home.

I’m assuming this comment was meant to be put on the main comment thread and not specifically as a response to my comment, being that nowhere in my comment did I say that we were to be full of dread during this time. :) In fact I only addressed how this angle is true in Christ first and foremost which is how I believe that we should be viewing all scripture and the interpretation thereof

The Word is a living metaphor. It works on so many levels. Yes we are living in temporary residencies right now. Being in Sukkot. Could Jesus be coming back at a feast where nobody knows the day or hour? I'm sure this feast day is Yom Kippor the feast where no body knows the exact day or hour. Where 2 witnesses declare the start. Of the feast. Think about it, test all things be guided by the Holy Spirit.

It's like music to my ears when I hear believers talk about and expound on the feasts of Our Father. When God commands all young Males to come before him, three times a year, during those three Harvest Feast Celebrations, he is letting us know that ( he is in the process)of choosing men in whom he is referring to as those who have the mindset of a first fruit. Therefore the two loaves of bread represent the two groups of first fruits that will be harvested in the end times. The 24 elders and the 144k Young Male Virgins.

Saturday means "Remphan" in the greek. Scripture tells us the Israelites were always disobeying God by instead worshiping Remphan. Stephen was even stones in the book of Acts for calling out the jewish leaders for their Remphan worship. Here we are in 2020 and you guys try to worship God on a pagan manmade invented day of Remphans day? The star of saturn, the star of David? Unbelievable! Literally mind boggling the blindness being portrayed by you guys.

@@donnewilliams3295 remphan does not mean saturday. Remphan translates to "saturn". I said Remphans day would be saturns day, or saturday. the first search result that came up was wikipedia. . . Remphan is a rendering of the Ancient Greek, ρεμφαν. Various manuscripts offer other transliterations, including Ancient Greek: Ῥομφά, Ῥεμφάν, Ῥεμφάμ, Ῥαιφάν, & Ῥεφάν. It is part of a reference to Amos 5:26, which reads in Hebrew as "Chiun", "Kewan", "Kaiwan", "Kiyuwn", or "Kijun". The Septuagint's reading of Amos is "raiphan" or "rephan". The Greek forms may be based on a transliteration of the Hebrew, k (qoppa) having replaced r (resh), ph having been substituted for y (yod), and u (vowel waw) having been replaced by a (alpha). "Kēwān" is the another pronunciation of the Old Persian word of Kayvân, meaning Saturn.[1][2][3] The very next result was bible study tools .com Remphan Remphan [H] [S] ( Acts 7:43 ; RSV, "Rephan"). In Amos 5:26 the Heb. Chiun (q.v.) is rendered by the LXX. "Rephan," and this name is adopted by Luke in his narrative of the Acts. These names represent the star-god Saturn or Moloch.

If we get harvested on the last great day of the feast, this rejoicing and being commanded to rejoice [not necessary to command it]. For some Christians, their rejoicing at the harvest which will be heartfelt and natural will be the first time they have obeyed the Lord in a long time. I am glad when they do "obey" a commandment, it will be as easy and natural as a drink of cool water on a warm day. They will get used to and learn obedience in this manner.

And how fitting to have the whole of Israel celebrating that day. When he was being circumcised all 24 courses of Priests wouldve been present in the Temple for the solemn assembly on the 8th day. If you read Leviticus 23:38 God talks about gift giving to the Lord. 7 days of gift giving 8th day is solemn perhaps because His circumcision as a babe spilling His blood in covenant with us.

Excellent video. I also think another reason we commemorate the journey in the wilderness with a 7 day Feast of joy relates to our 7 year tribulation and counting it all joy in the various trials. Certainly, that is the final ingathering of the harvest. The second Sukkot of Chanukah was also the time of the Maccabees tribulation and the re-dedication of the Temple. When these things begin to happen, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near! Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle!

I can't believe you come at this from a view of discomfort. I find Sukkot to be one of the most joyful times of the year. This Feast represents everything that is good, we can finally recline and enjoy. Your sukkah should have pillows and blankets and nice chairs. Maybe even a nice rug. It isn't commanded to be uncomfortable. You can have a fan but here in Colorado it's way too cold. This commandment is specifically for the natives of Yisrael. Observing outside of the holy land is not really required and its because of things like climate. Keeping it is ok but you don't have to punish yourselves. If you read Leviticus 23:40 you see you are to rejoice. If you go into this with dread you're doing it all wrong. This is supposed to be fun and inspiring and give you good lasting memories all with HaShem at the center. Even Yeshua as many believe this feast day represents Yeshua's Birth and 2nd coming. I stopped watching right about when the rotting food came on the screen. Gross Love Sukkot, love all the High Holy days

Hi, I liked your presentation. But, I think you left out some significant facts about the wilderness experience that we could rejoice in when celebrating Sukkot. Even though the Israelites dwelt in boths in the wilderness their shoes didn't wear out , there clothes didn't wax old, they were given manna every day except on Sabbath, and water came from the rock to supply their needs. And at Tabernacles in the New Testament Yahshua stood in the day, that great day of the feast , and cried, " If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. " So we can rejoice even though we are in the wilderness of this world , that our Lord will take care of us and provide for us as a Shepherd does for his flock. You even mentioned about death. In Psalms , you find where David asks the Lord not to forsake him when he is old, so we can even rejoice in the fact that our Lord will not forsake us when we are old and approaching the grave . Thanks again for your video.

It would be impossible for Christ to come at trumpets because it just doesn't fit that it would happen before the day of atonement which is actually done in heaven if you will read Revelation and Christ offers up his blood once and for all in the Holy sanctuary and heaven and then throws the sensor down and says it is finished.

why does this guy make the feast seem so negative? anyways the root word of sukoot is sukah which comes from sukak and it means to defend to cover to protect and to join together. the feast represents a time of protection and a joining of Yahs people with him while he protects them. can go deeper into this but this is a lovely feast and i love dwelling in tents. maybe being in the dessert makes a difference but its still wonderful.

@Shema-El25
@Shema-El25 5 жыл бұрын
@@rick4576 if one truly studies the word sukoth to the root word sukak which means to cover then we would truly understand tabernacles with Yah means to be joined together to be protected to be hedged in or defended. Tabernacles literally represents Yah protecting his people who are in covenant with him. It never symbolises death as he portrayed. Death only falls on the covenant breaker. A precept to this is when scripture says outside of the feast to supper of the lamb is darkness and nashing of teeth. All how Israel was in the wilderness the scripture says they never got sick thier clothes never got worned out they were always sustained until they sinned against the most high. So yeah his perspective is from a negative angle but then tries to nice it up at the end. But the negative can have a bigger impact on someone just coming into this truth rather than positive. It only tends to reassure someone that they may not enjoy this feast because the focus is on the wrong things

So if King David said in Psalm 104:19 "the MOON appoints the MOEDIM", and the feast of Shavuot is a MOEDIM, then why do you not use the moon at all, but instead us a solar only week to appoint Shavuot? You do not use the moon in any way shape or form to determine Shavuot, instead you inforce your solar traditions into the holy day.

No incorrect....look at the passage closely in leviticus 23..he starts of saying these are MY APPOINTED FEASTS ...not these are the jews feasts...its for the entire family of YHWH.. are u not grafted in ? If so u are no longer a person from the outside nations...other wise called a gentile...if u are grafted in..u are Israel as well...there is one way of doing things .for all...FATHERS WAYS....if u call urself a GENTILE u are actually calling urself someone who is out of covenant with The Father...I hope this helps some..shalom many blessings ..

@Peachy L you have to look at the greek and understand that every male Israetite is required three times a yr. to go to jerusalem for the Feast of Passover/Unlevened Bread , Pentecost, and Tabernacles aka Booths or Hebrew Sukkote.the word sukkote is plural for Sukka a temporary shelter for the 40 years of wondering in the wilderness these are the mis translated words into Greek then english . joesph being a jew or israelite had to go to jerusalem for the Feast and being commanded by ceasar to be registard for the census . bethlaham being only 7 miles from jerusalem it would only make sense to kill to birds w/one stone so to speake and he was not about to leave his pregnant soon to be wife alone in nazereth. and lam sure they some sense of what was happening. and decades later the TRUTH was hidden so we all could have christmas and live happily ever afte.r sorry for the sarcasm the Feast of YEHOVAH LEV.chptr.23 are key to understanding do much of what He did how He lived how weshould live hope that helped

The Feast of Tabernacles, also known as the Feast of Ingathering begun today. "You shall keep the...Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you have gathered in the fruit of your labors from the field." [Exod.23:15,16] “And you shall observe...the Feast of Ingathering at the year’s end." [Exod.34:22] "Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the Lord for seven days; on the first day [Day 15] there shall be a Sabbath-rest, and on the eighth day [Day 22] a Sabbath-rest." [Lev.23:39] The First Day of this Feast falls on Monday the 14th of October, 2019. The Field in the above text represents the World. Our mission in the World is to labor diligently to understand the Word of God so that we can acquire from it the truths we need to produce the righteousness of God in our lives. The righteousness of God in us are all the good things we speak, write and do, from sincere love, towards our spouses, our children, the brethren and all people in general. This is the fruit the Lord is looking for in us when He comes on the Day of the Messiah. Hence Paul wrote: "And this is my prayer: that your love may more and more overflow in fullness of knowledge and depth of discernment, so that you will be able to determine what is best and thus be pure and without blame for the Day of the Messiah, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Yeshua the Messiah..." [Phili.1:9-11] The Feast of Tabernacles represents our rejoicing and our being glad before the Lord for blessing us abundantly with the fruit of HIS righteousness. Hence we read: “You shall observe the Feast of Tabernacles seven days, when you have gathered from your threshing floor and from your winepress. And you shall rejoice in your feast, you and your son and your daughter...Seven days you shall keep a sacred feast to the Lord your God in THE PLACE which the Lord chooses, because the Lord your God will bless you in all your produce and in all the work of your hands, so that you surely rejoice." [Deut.16:13-15] "The place" in which the Lord is choosing to keep this feast is in us. We'll be embodying this feast in our glorified bodies as we rejoice before the Lord! Glory to God! Hence we read: "Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!" [Psalm 32:11] "Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let such as love Your salvation say continually, “The Lord be magnified!” [Psalm 40:16] "Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name." [Psalm 97:12] "Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth; Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises." [Psalm 98:4] "We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners!"[Psalm 20:5] The spiritual essence of the righteousness of God in us is the holy fire of God's love. Our glorified flesh and bones are going to be made from the very fire of God's love as we begin singing the Lord's praises. This is why the Apostle Paul wrote: "On that Day, when he comes to be glorified by his HOLY people and admired by all who have trusted, you will be among them..."[2 Thess.1:10] We're going to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ until we receive our glorified bodies on the Day of the Sacred Assembly on Monday the 21st of October 2019. This is when, after the resurrection of our fellow saints, "...we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." [1 Thess.4:17] See you at the Wedding Banquet. Your brother in Christ. OLA.

@Christian C Yes 100%. The bible specifically mentions that the shepherds were out at night; and the only time the sheep were not in their folds at night is during lambing season (too dangerous for the lambs to be born in the crowded folds). Lambing season is during Passover.

Read it again. YHWH NEVER said it was for the "native born Israelites". Very disturbing when people make up doctrine and then others argue without using YHWH'S infallible WORD “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month YHWH'S FEAST of Tabernacles begins, and it lasts for seven days. 35 The first day is a sacred assembly; do no regular work. 36 For seven days present food offerings to the Lord, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly and present a food offering to the Lord. Saturday is not Sabbath. Luni-solar calendar divines Sabbath. That's what the Hebrews and Jews used. You guys are teaching false doctrine. From new moon to new moon and Sabbath to Sabbath. All your talk of Roman Saturday lining up with the Jewish Sabbath is spot on!!! What you don't say is that the original Roman civic calendar WAS a luni solar calendar and that the Julian calendar was brought in to make up for the fact that the civic calendar was changing the start of the seasons because they didn't take a 13th month from time to time. Such duplicitous false teachings.

So who is the priest who declared to Yehovah's people that this is feast time? Num 10:8-10 is pretty clear that no other tribe is given this authority. Without an Aaronic priest, not only is a calendar unauthorized but ignoring HOW a feast is to be kept in order to make it up as you go, is no different than what Jeraboam did. Feasts were for the purpose of appearing before Yah "at the place He put His name" and bringing your sacrifice/offerings. (Lev @) To ignore the word of Yah and how He says to keep a feast, and just do what you want to do, is not obedience. It's presumption and ignoring Torah. And it's no different than the people who followed Jeraboam into this same sin. Feasts (and new moons-calendar) CEASE without a temple/levitical system and certainly outside of the land just like they did for Israel when thrown out of the land the first time. (Hos @) "Doing the best we can" is not a license to ignore Yah. Feasts are forbidden outside of the land or inside of the land without a temple, which is the only place that a feast was to be celebrated. And without bringing a sacrifice/offering, to the Aaronic priest, no one is "keeping" a feast. People are doing this their own way which is also forbidden in scripture. STOP FOLLOWING MAN....even those who you think are trustworthy. Follow Yah and you will see that you cannot keep a feast nor should you be "rehearsing." Torah forbids us making up our own ideas and hijacking Yah's terms.

It wasn't a priest but Moses who declared the word of God to Gods elect. Leviticus 23:33-44 The Feast of Booths 33 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 34 “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, pOn the fifteenth day of this seventh month and for seven days is the Feast of Booths5 to the Lord. 35 On the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall not do any ordinary work. 36 For seven days you shall present food offerings to the Lord. qOn the eighth day you shall hold a holy convocation and present a food offering to the Lord. It is a rsolemn assembly; you shall not do any ordinary work. 37 s“These are the appointed feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim as times of holy convocation, for presenting to the Lord food offerings, burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each on its proper day, 38 tbesides the Lord’s Sabbaths and besides your gifts and besides all your vow offerings and besides all your freewill offerings, which you give to the Lord. 39 “On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have ugathered in the produce of the land, you shall celebrate the feast of the Lord seven days. On the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest. 40 And vyou shall take on the first day the fruit of splendid trees, branches of palm trees and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and wyou shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days. 41 xYou shall celebrate it as a feast to the Lord for seven days in the year. It is a statute forever throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 yYou shall dwell in booths for seven days. All native Israelites shall dwell in booths, 43 that zyour generations may know that I made the people of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.” 44 Thus Moses adeclared to the people of Israel the appointed feasts of the Lord.

I have read those but before those there was Exodus. Moses and Aaron Before Pharaoh Exodus 7:1And the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have made you like oGod to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your pprophet. Exodus 4:16 tHe shall speak for you to the people, and he shall be your mouth, and uyou shall be as God to him. According to the word of God there will be no more Jews or Gentiles Galatians 3:28 yThere is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave7 nor free, zthere is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. \ Gentiles Grafted In Romans 11:11-36 11 So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather through their trespass usalvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. 12 Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion2 mean! 13 Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch then as vI am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry 14 in order somehow to make my fellow Jews jealous, and wthus save some of them. 15 For if their rejection means xthe reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead? 16 yIf the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, so is the whole lump, and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 17 But if zsome of the branches were broken off, and you, aalthough a wild live shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root3 of the olive tree, 18 do not be arrogant toward the branches. f you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that upports you. 19 Then you will say, “Branches were broken ff so that I might be grafted in.” 20 That is true. They were broken off because of their nbelief, but you bstand fast hrough faith. So cdo not become roud, but dfear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural ranches, neither will he spare you. 22 Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, eprovided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise fyou too will be ut off. 23 And geven they, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree. Zechariah 14:1-21 16 Then everyone ho survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem kshall go up year after year to worship lthe King, the Lord of hosts, and mto keep nthe Feast of booths. 17 And if oany of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship lthe King, the Lord of hosts, pthere will be no rain on them. 18 And if the family of Egypt does not go up and present themselves, then on them there shall be no rain;6 there shall be jthe plague with which the Lord afflicts the nations that do not go up mto keep the Feast of Booths.19 This shall be he punishment to Egypt and the punishment to all the nations that do not go up to keep the east of Booths.

@@rick4576 That has nothing to do with being given freedom to change commands. WE ARE FORBIDDEN TO DO SO. Just because we have a new high priest in Yeshua, He STILL could not serve in the earthly Temple because Judah was not given those ordinances. The writer of Hebrews tells us this. The Word of God is sure and firm. It is not to be manipulated. Only priests declared any new moon. So there is no calendar, no 1st day of Aviv if there is no priest to declare it for the people. And even if the levitical system claimed to still be around, outside of the land, feasts are FORBIDDEN. They have CEASED just like the new moons. Hosea 2:11 This is the word of YAH saying so. It amazes me how many people completely ignore Him, make up their own things to do and call it "feast keeping."

Shalom Shabbat Skylar, it appears you missed how in the USA Sukkot falls between September (late fall) and October (early winter). It gets to the teens in Farenheit where i live, the depression is from the environment. The original Yisraelites didn't go into the land because of their depression attitudes so they went on a 40 year walk about with booths. Rewatch the video and reread the Exodus story please. Those who went into the wilderness didn't go into the promised land, it was their children. Lastly, Sukkot is fun, just some get depressed because of the weather, the teaching covered that,and we are not supposed to let the weather get to us, is a command because some need to be reminded that "Shalom Sukkot" means "Let's go camping with the KING OF KINGS".
