Gojo's Techniques are all related to one another. Every Cursed Technique and subsequent Techniques derived from it have to be related. As explained in Jujutsu Kaisen: 0, Gojo's Limitless manipulates space-time on an atomic level through the usage of precise Cursed Energy manipulation made possible through his Six Eyes. But beyond that, it's also very mathematical and paradoxical, as he influences negative numbers when utilizing Blue to create impossible situations such as -1 apples being born, which results in the magnetic effect/attractive force it possesses. In the anime, Gojo adds that he can influence vectors as well when doing so. Red is just the inversion/divergence of Blue, hence it is a repulsive force. And you can think of Unlimited Void like trying to process the Limitless without Six Eyes, hence why it is essential to have both.

And this is exactly why Jogo is not to be messed with. The audience definitely underestimated him because of how easily Gojo defeated him back in season 1, but him just mopping the floor with the squad in the last episode probably changed a lot of people's minds. And then we get to this episode, and most of the audience realizes that Jogo would have no problem whatsoever with just annihilating most of the cast.

According to the Fanbook, Cursed objects are curses too The problem is that people just straight out got wrong the name of things, like, in japanese the manga make sure to use the word "Jurei" when talking about cursed spirits, but for some reason the english (And some of the portuguese) translations just uses "Curse" to refer to cursed spirits only, when that's not quite right Sukuna is a curse, he's just not a cursed spirit (Jurei)

I had to reconfirm, but in the original Japanese translation Sukuna tells Jogo "you were strong" in the scene instead of "you are strong". Also a fun side note that Sukuna is also painfully aware how strong Gojo is. Saying that humans and curses spent all their time accumulating their strength in groups and weakening their overall power as a result. Which would further impliy that Sukuna acknowledges that Gojo rejected the ideals of conventional strength and sought to be the absolute strongest. A single man who could fight everyone and everything which was shown in the Ep 1-4 of season 2. It also mirrors what Gojo tells megumi in season 1 which is that while sorcery is complimented by team work it is an "individual sport and you will be alone when you die". Just fun to see that Sukuna basically said that everyone should have just fought each other until someone beat Gojo and became the new strongest. It also kinda shows what Sukuna thinks of Geto by comparison which when faced with the same delma as Gojo when it came to strength chose to create a group instead.
@mkazaa20 күн бұрын
While Gojo does possess individual strength and acknowledge the benefit of being selfish in jujutsu his ideals are different to Sukuna. He tells us his ideals in season 1 episode 6/7 where he states he wants to cultivate students who possess strength that is near to his own so that when they grow up they can change jujutsu society. Gojo wants to have a collective of people who share his ideals. He isn't fully in to the whole individualism ideal that Sukuna is.

Special grade really doesnt have much to do with raw power, when it comes to sorcerers atleast
@juliocesardornelas849619 күн бұрын
People tend to get wrong how the "grade" system works in Jujutsu It's not about level of Power (In the case for sorcerers), from grade 4 to 1 it is a way to measure the capacity of an individual as a sorcerer, that's why to up from grade to grade they use a recomendation method, you get promoted by recomendation of a sorcerer of superior grade Special grade generally are stand outs, anomallies, they are people that surpass the four basic grades and that have, in some way or the other, the capacity to subdue the power of a country (Not destroy a country necessarily like some people think) Yaga for an example get's to be special grade just because he had the potential to create an army of cursed corpses The only classification method that account the strengh of the individual is the Cursed Spirits grades, and sometimes it's not exactly the power but their level of danger

To explain some things about Toji (that AREN’T spoilers, these are things answered by the author outside the main story in Q&A’s and stuff). You’re close enough to Toji’s motivations, though it helps to have all the context laid out. Toji was pretty clearly abused and rejected by the clan, Maki is a very obvious signal of what happens to those who don’t fit a very rigid standard of strength in the eyes of the Zen’in Clan. Eventually Toji left, and as we’ve seen already, he was a bum who spent his time gambling and being a bounty hunter to vent his frustrations with the society he felt rejected him. When he met Megumi’s mother, he was sort of reigned in, they truly loved each other and had Megumi, but shortly after his mom passed through some unknown means, and Toji was left with the words we hear in this episode “Take care of Megumi”. However, Toji is already starting to spiral after losing his wife, and is going off the deep end again. He adopts his philosophy of not caring about anyone or anything, not even himself (as we saw in the Gojo flashbacks), and he sells off Megumi partly because he’s convinced himself he doesn’t care and partly because he feels he’s not fit to raise him. Then we get to what we already know, Toji hooks up with a woman, both her and Toji just vanish and leave Tsumiki and Megumi behind, with Toji expecting Megumi will end up being taken in by the Zen’in within that year as he’s about to awaken his technique. Toji dies, he realizes he doesn’t want Megumi to grow up in the clan, he indirectly asks Gojo to take Megumi in, and Megumi grows up with daddy issues never knowing who Toji was because he denied Gojo’s explanation. When Toji comes back he’s just a bundle of murderous instinct, but when he finally recognized Megumi, he asks Megumi’s name to see if the sale went through, is happy to hear that either Megumi never became a Zen’in or decided to leave and take back his mothers name, and kills himself without any elaboration to keep himself from going berserk again. I’ve heard criticism from people saying that Toji should have said who he was, but I prefer how things went. For 1, I like that it’s firmly decided that Toji is dead. No matter how cool he is, bringing him back as full character again would sort of feel cheap. Even if not, I prefer Toji keeping his identity secret, I think it was the right call. Megumi isn’t the type to get particularly emotional over people who he hasn’t personally seen are worthy to care about, and he has EVERY reason to not care about Toji. I also feel that Toji understood that, and decided that he already screwed up as a father and it’d be selfish to even try and build that connection after all he did, so he just checks that Megumi’s life is going well (you know, from his perspective, overall things are going crazy), he’s happy that Megumi is holding onto the memory of his mother, and then he checks out.
@MaryBaker-ev6cu20 күн бұрын
Wonderful comment! I just wanted to add another fun fact about Toji I’ve heard: apparently the scar on Toji’s mouth is from his clan’s practice of throwing him into a pit of curses when he was a child, and Toji would have to battle his way out.

This episode is one of the greatest moments of Jujutsu Kaisen so far, absolutely monumental. Jogo has spent this entire series being somebody else's punching bag. Gojo calls him weak during their fights, ridicules him, exorcises one of his closest comrades in front of him, and completely dominates Jogo in any interaction they have. Pseudo-Geto also does this, but whereas Gojo can simply beat Jogo down, Geto very subtly ridicules Jogo, by measuring his strength in Sukuna's fingers, essentially making him seem weaker than mere cursed objects, and outright telling him that he cannot beat Gojo in a fight, further ridiculing him when Hanami rescues him after being reduced to little more than a head. Jogo did ask him to rate his strength in Sukuna's fingers, but Geto giving him a 'generous estimate' just felt sarcastic and designed to ridicule Jogo. Jogo also witnesses Hanami's death with his own eyes, and is powerless to stop Gojo from crushing her until she's reduced to a stain on the wall. In this moment, Jogo tried to distract Gojo, to find any way at all to save his beloved friend, but failed, and is forced to retreat. I think all of these things indicate that at his core, Jogo is an extremely insecure individual. He wields immense power that the average sorcerer or cursed spirit could only dream of, and yet he still feels inferior to others. Despite everything he has going for him, he looks at Gojo and Sukuna wishing he was like them, as powerful as they are. He is infuriated by them mocking him, getting angrier and angrier while he throws everything he has at them, and it doesn't work. Jogo is also extremely proud, believing himself to be powerful, and then having that notion ripped away from him after finding out there are others with greater power than he does. Sukuna's words to Jogo were the first positive affirmation of his strength Jogo has received from another. Not only that, but Jogo is acknowledged by a far superior opponent, who says that he is truly strong. I think Jogo's tears weren't just from being acknowledged, but him realising that he had no need to feel so inferior this whole time. He was strong, he just wasn't able to stand as an equal to Gojo or Sukuna. In his final moments, Jogo realises this, and likely feels that he is truly strong for the first time in his life. One further detail. Jogo has frequently stated his belief that curses are the true humans, and they should have the position of humans in both the societies of Jujutsu and the general human population. With all Jogo's faults, he is a good example of a human, event though he is a cursed spirit, he is a flawed being, as all humans have both positive and negative aspects to them and their personality. When compared to someone like Gojo, Jogo is far more human. Yes, Gojo is a human, but he has never had to struggle for his goals like Jogo, he was born blessed and has been able to easily face everything in his life as the strongest sorcerer, whereas Jogo, like most people in the world, has been beaten down time and time again, and has been forced to realise their position in the world. Gojo has always been on top, and as a result, is extremely arrogant and looks down on his opponents, because he has never had an equal. In death, Jogo was proud that someone even stronger than him praised his strength, making it seem like they were on equal footing for once in his life, and not being belittled and labelled as weak. This is why I think Jogo achieved his goal of becoming a 'true human'. He didn't succeed in replacing humans with curses and reversing the status quo, but like humans, he did struggle, he did fight for his ideals. He was a flawed individual, but his emotions, feelings, and actions were all so... human. Compared to someone like Gojo, who is a flawed human, but has also never had to struggle for his place in society like Jogo, Gojo seems like a monster, a force of nature so powerful he can no longer be referred to as a mere human. Stand proud Jogo, you were strong. 'We curses are the true humans.'

As Kenny says, it's 100% a respect thing. Sukuna isn't some purely callous calamity. He's perceived as such but Sukuna himself is really poetic in nature. It's lost in translation in the dub but the way he speaks is from a different era, filled with poetry. When he fights Jogo he's appraising him. Once he sees his Maximum technique, and Sukunas asks "why didn't you use your domain? Once Jogo claims he KNOWS he would lose a domain clash Sukuna understands that Jogo is simply a loser. He says himself "it's the epitome of the loser's spirit" rather than try to clash domains and win he reserves himself. Sukuna gives Jogo a chance at his own skill "firepower" and once he beats him and enters that space where he's talking to the other curses and gives him his final words in a sense it wasn't that Sukuna only said those things after winning because he had won now and could talk trash he knew he was always going to win because he went into it with a winning mindset. His words to Jogo, while seeming out of character, are just his honest feelings. He acknowledges Jogo's strength but he doesn't care if this makes jogo happy or not he's simply stating fact from his point of ciew. This acknowledgment funnily enough helps Jogo pass on without regret and gives him a "proper death" something Yuji endeavours to be able to do for humans.

So this is what happens when Sukuna plays tag. Cause remember, that was not a fight, that was TAG. Jogo's last move there was named Maximum Meteor. That's important. MAXIMUM when it's added onto any cursed technique is basically the PEAK of whatever that cursed technique is, in this case Fire manipulation, short of Domain Expansion. So Meteor was the absolute most powerful fire technique possible, and Sukuna said it WOULD have hurt him. If it hit. That's some Muichiro talk right there, the most powerful move in the world doesn't matter if you can't land it. Toji finally recognized Megumi, and he asked him what his name was because he wanted to know if Megumi was sold to the Zenins or not. The fact he called himself Fushiguro, his mother's name, means Gojo kept him out of their hands, so he was glad of that. He killed himself so he didn't keep fighting, and I'm sure once he recognized Megumi he was going to do that regardless of the answer, he just asked the question purely for his own closure.

btw...this episode showed how vastly outnumbered the other sorcerers are compared to Gojo. This is why he's needed. Jogo managed to carve through a Grade 1 (nanami), heavenly pact (Maki) and special grade (old man Zenin), like nothing. But he can't handle Sakuna.
@viperx67920 күн бұрын
small correction, naobito zenin is a special grade 1, not to be mistaken for a special grade. special grade 1's are those not affiliated with jj high but is at the level of a grade 1.

The Jogo tears scene… I took Sukuna’s reaction of “I wouldn’t know” as a big indicator that he is literally a psychopath incapable of feeling.
@juliocesardornelas849619 күн бұрын
But he's not, that just shows that he either don't like recognizing feelings as a thing or just don't see how they can exist at the same time with the fact that he's the strongest

Hey guys, ive been a fan since you started on tiktok. I've been thinking on getting my channel going with reviews or reactions because you inspired me and since yesterday I wasted more than 6 hours editing a 5 min video of Zenitsu's breathing technique and i cannot pass the youtube copyright police and its so fucking frustrating, I'm wondering how on earth do you do it? i edited the video so much, pitched down/up the voices, added royalty free music, credited the studio and newtowrk on the description and nothing. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me? I'm really upset about this lmao

Yeah, about the sukuna - jogo afterlife, it's stated in the episode thousand years ago or something, it could be sukuna baseline behavior of warriors in that era. Strength, power, and not some cooperative coersion with other forces for conquering opponents. Like how sukuna is interested in megumi because he saw the potential. And so with jogo. Maybe he just wanted to see stronger opponents that will give him a challenge. And see how far they can push him. That's just how I interpret it.

Kusabake definitely kn ew his place amngost the sorcerers, he knew he could take some cursed spirits if it came to it. He was even willing to fight the remnants of Geto. But he knew that if he fought any special grades he’d die. Hence he did the utmost not to.

Hi for the 2nd part of thunderclap which is "thunderclap, part2" you should react to the bulray version of the episode, because everything you see in the episode that was published everywhere is only 30% of the animation team could do in the 1 week time frame. The fight with mahoraga is so much better in the bluray version and you can understand the fight better as there is all the animation required to understand.

context on the episode name: If Sukuna's Vessel has the ''Ten Shadows'' Cursed Technique (Megumi's Cursed Technique Currently.) and then manages to eat 16 Fingers and over, Sukuna will be able to Use a purple Lightning like Technique which will violently shock the Receiver, This lightning will become More and more Violent, Big, and Powerful for every Finger he eats up until The 20th finger. The reason of needing the Ten Shadows Cursed Technique is because When Megumi Uses His Nue (Orange Bird with a Mask Shikigami) And it hits someone, It shocks them shortly with a Purple lightning flash, Megumi can combo This with his Other shikigami, for example: Great Serpent Shikigami could hold the user and Megumi could get Nue to fly Into the user rapidly, shocking them to death, etc..

2:25 just wanted to say that Sukuna is still not a curse. He split his soul into 20 fingers, but that just means he can be incarnated into somebody, he is technically still a human.

@oyamampendu946720 күн бұрын
good evening just wanted to say this episodew wasn't the one was incomplete by the staff that was episode 17 with even the blu-ray not being complete either. These 2 episodes were done outside the production cycle of the season by a team of some of the best and most talented animators in anime currently and only ep17 they weren't able to fully realize there vision.
