Bas Haseki Kosem Sultan also walked in harem the same way, with the crown. Ahmed with so much proud and joy talks about Hürrem sultan to kosem sultan. That's her legacy. Everyone remembers her, no one remembers mahidevran.

Mahi really had the perfect position. Mother of the first-born son, jewels, a nice room, respect, clothing, an allowance, servants, all the food she wanted… and she threw it all away. Yes I know she loved Suleiman initially so it was painful when Hurrem arrived but if she had kept quiet she would have had it all without having the pressure of being the Sultan’s number one…

Hurrem has such an infectious laugh. It’s charming. She lives up to the name Suleiman chose. Everyone else is always so grim or taking themselves so seriously, and she has all this brightness and joy. No wonder he fell for her.

So funny that Mihi thinks she is something other than a slave. Even the Haseki title was long gone for her. Not that that title ever existed, but Hurrem took it the first night. He was never truly in love with her or he wouldnt have fell so hard for Hurrem. She was his mother's proxy so he played along with it all thinking that this must be love and duty. Then came Hurrem and it was like the first time seeing the sun. Everyone immediately became second place and steps way from his power they loved to use. That is why they hated Hurrem and no other harem members.

I don't know why they gave her the title of Haseki Sultan in the show. It was created for Hurrem in real life.

Was für hohle Nüsse diese Haremsdamen - die haben sich wirklich gelangweilt, dass sie nur intrigieren, intrigieren und intrigieren konnten! Besonders Mahidevran - so eine Schlange! Die hat sich nur auf ihren Sohn ausgeruht. Was eigentlich ok gewesen wäre, aber sie musste noch gemein und böse sein, bis es aus ihren Augen gekrochen ist. (Großartig gespielt, übrigens, von der Schauspielerin! 💐) Und am Ende hat sie sogar seinen Untergang bewirkt. Klar, sie hätte in jedem Fall gegen Hürrem verloren (die weder die Regeln gemacht, noch an der Situation schuld war, sondern nur überleben wollte), aber zumindest ihre Würde behalten, wie Gülfem. Und auch die Valide enttäuscht menschlich sehr - besonders in dieser Episode, obwohl sie hauptsächlich positiv dargestellt wird - zu unrecht. Hürrem finde ich toll! 🌹Richtig klasse, wie sie sich alleine durchschlägt, aber sich immer von ihrer Liebe leiten lässt, immer wieder ihre Hand zum Frieden anbietet, und trotzdem nicht dumm, sondern sehr klug ist. Denn dieser Palast ist überhaupt nicht schön - es ist eine giftige, widerwärtige Schlangengrube!

oh here we go poor mahidevran everything is about her and she blames hurrem maybe had she acted better and stopped walking around looking stressed and upset she might still be sleeping with him but who wants to sleep with someone who is grouchy and mean lol the ugly bitterness shows on her face.
