So nice to see another family enjoying their yacht the way it was intended! There are so many about boats, but not the families that enjoy them! Thanks for sharing!

It has been fantastic following your journey. There have been so many of you I have been following doing this trip, between how you did it and the loop. I have really learned a lot and enjoyed the fact that there are so many of us like-minded boaters, thank you for sharing your life with the KZbin world. Good luck in you future endeavors. My wife and I have 5 more year before we can start. Looking forward to selling our current boat and purchasing our journey vessel. Cheers!

Your videos are a bit long, and I click on them with the intent of fast forwarding through a lot of it in the name of saving time. However, your content is so interesting and so engaging with excellent editing that I end up viewing every single second. Nice work and thanks for the great videos that we enjoy watching from Kenosha, WI

It was an epic journey, one that I plan to emulate except for several years not just one. Thank you for taking us along and I hope that your health and happiness continues. Such an abrupt ending that left me with one question, why quit? Good luck in whatever direction you decide to go.

Our journey really occurred over 3 years. The first year we bought a used 50' Monte Carlo 5 and we practiced with it for a summer docking and getting comfortable docking. We sold this boat after the first year because it accomplished our goal to help teach us what we really want and like, as well as give us confidence to buy a brand new boat. The second year we bought the Absolute Navetta 52 new and spent the summer navigating the Lake Michigan for 6 weeks and learned a lot more about different marinas, crossing the big lake, and that we were very comfortable living aboard it. It was the third year that we left on our epic journey to navigate it down to Marathon, FL, and then extend it through the Bahamas. So it may appear abrupt in the video editing, but it was our plan from the start to spend 3-5 years on this big adventure. We'll be back in to boating soon enough once we are settled in a land house again. We are now addicted to boating life. I hope your journey is filled with many great memories too. :-)

I was so excited when I saw episode 6 was up never thinking it would be the final episode. Another awesome video,wonderful story telling and background information. I was sad that you sold “our” boat but I think both of you might have another adventure up your rain slicker. I’ll be checking. Lol great job and adventure. Loved it. Thanks

By chance I stumbled upon your Sull'Acqua episodes. What an enjoyable watch with two people who are so passionate about their M.Y. What a shame you had to sell the M.Y. Are you back on the water ?

What are the plan for your next boat, are you thinking about another motor yacht or maybe a sail catamaran ?
@MV-SullAcqua Жыл бұрын
We haven’t decided yet. Maybe something smaller to do weekend trips, but our focus first is locking down where we will live. From there we can scout out where we can get on the water. We probably won’t do a sailing vessel. Perhaps a power, cat though. 😀 We saw lots of them in the Bahamas-and for good reason. Perfect boats for stability over there.

@@MV-SullAcqua Your observation of catamarans is so valuable. At a show people have a perspective of just 'looking' at boats. Your perspective, and sharing are hands-on and realistic !!!

Sad to watch your final moments. As owner of a Volvo IPS boat that we usually cruise at 30-33 on Lake Michigan, I’m curious as to whether you considered speeding up through those narrow entries with major currents? Or maybe too shallow to be comfortable with speeding up?
@MV-SullAcqua Жыл бұрын
Great questions. Not having navigated them prior, I erred on going slower. I always felt in control though because of the IPS. I can see how shaft/rudder boats without of power (ie trawlers and sailboats) would really struggle.

You have had a nice time on your yacht. If you miss the relaxing sound of a yacht engine running, you can find some video on my channel. Feel free to subscribe. Enjoy sailing. Absolute has not a deep V hull . Is it easy to steer?
