@@anetatall3334" In times of Crisis people Do Unspeakable things " We do not learn from History - we live in fear, suspicion and hostility of the "Other" L'etrange, even when we live next door, school, work and shop together for Generations - so Why be surprised when we repeat the History of previous times, generations When in Crisis? No disrespect to those who Survived Genocide and Holocaust - but from the 400 years of the inhumanity of the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade to modern day Human trafficking and de-regulated Prisons for Profit, from Nazi concentration camps to the Migrant "Jungle Camp" in Calais or Boat people left to drown in the Mediterranean off Italy and Greece. We all need a job, to make a living and to support and protect our families; but ANY job can be exploited to become inhumane agents of the State (China - UK - Italy - USA) as Sullivan's Grandfather and millions of Germans went from Teachers and Civil servants to = "Nazi". We are not so different and will easily excuse the same INHUMANITY again and again throughout History to "protect our Own" from any perceived enemy. From post-WW1 humiliation to "War on Drugs", from recessional Housing crisis to Coronavirus Pandemic I C E, Immigration, UK Home Office & Detention services - Civil and Military Agencies of law and order enforcement Worldwide ; let us see how quickly we go from the humanity of China's Red Army building Hospitals in a day and Cuba sending medical assistance to Italy to making excuses for leaving Women victims of domestic abuse and trafficking locked up to fend for themselves in Yarwood Detention centre & leaving former Health Carers and ex-military Ethnic minorities to die at home during this Pandemic Crisis? @@lizokokon1411 I could not have said it better myself. I didn't know anything about Nelson Mandela until I was grown and out of school. I remember asking my high school principal, an older white gentleman who knew my entire family, can we get Black history on our curriculum. He said no we don't need that. I had looked at it as we needed it because our history books had a terrible disconnect between when slavery occurred, ended, Jim Crow and the modern day lives of African Americans now.

@@anetatall3334 You may not like it but that is what they are, just because it happens in the USA doesn't change the nature of it and the rest of the world knows it. ICE it's just like the Gestapo no mather what there workers tell themselfs, and the 'detention centers' are indeed concenteation camps, but there's no surprise there, the USA has a long track record of violating human rights, they don't like to be called on it.

The revelation about Sullivan's grandfather being a Nazi in Germany adds a layer of complexity to his character and underscores the show's commitment to exploring the personal histories of its characters. This unexpected revelation not only deepens the narrative on #Station19 but also emphasizes the importance of addressing difficult and impactful aspects of history. It's another reason why #Station19's storytelling deserves to be continued. #SaveStation19

I can only hope that Sullivians grandfather did regret having racist views towards people of African descent as he was very loving towards Sullivan like any other grandfather and taught him to ride a bike and how to fish despite knowing he was of African descent. The Nazis imfamously hated people of African descent as they were adamant racists and they did persecute, sterilize, and kill many of them but they weren’t as targeted as other groups such as Jewish people, Romani, Lgbtq, Political Opponents, Disabled People, Jedoviahs Witnesses, Polish People, Russians, Slavic People, and other groups as there weren’t as many Afro Germans in Germany. Reguardless he showed no regret or remorse for any of his other actions and I think that it is likely that he took part in the Holocaust wether as a guard at a concentration camp or Nazi Death Camp or killing site, a member of the Gestapo or SS or the Einsgruptin, or a member of a killing squad. He was a Nazi and believed in it meaning that he probably supported many of their beliefs or policy’s and probably shared their anti semtic views so it wouldn’t be surprising if he directly took part in the Holocaust or stood by and let it happen.

It's only been two shows, and one of the shows (where it was talking about the fallout of someone else's death) he was only in two scenes. And then this episode. Also think of how many episodes where we didn't know/realize he had real problem. Besides it's pretty realistic for people who have an opioid addiction that still has access to it, you truly don't see it. You only notice when they start doing heroin or they start using it every hour on the hour.
