Sable and showmanship prepare the end of Sultan İbrahim (Tugay Mercan). Both the people and the soldiers do not want Sultan İbrahim as a sultan. Aware of the gravity of the situation, Kösem Sultan (Nurgül Yeşilçay) decides to dethrone her son.
Learning that Sultan İbrahim will be dethroned, Turhan Sultan (Hande Doğandemir) offers Kösem Sultan a deal. Kösem accepts the deal. He will enthrone his grandson Mehmed 4th. It lights the wick of the fire of rebellion.

In series, we see a mother clearly giving the order for her son to be locked where as the actual one agreed and approved, never ordered. In either case , we see now that she doesn't need ANY son to sit on throne. The SONS need her. She turned the valide sultan position to an actual rank. This means, she can be great valide sultan, great grand valide sultan and so on. She doesn't need Murad or Ibrahim or kasim or mehmed. That's why her case is so so unique.

Osman definitely deserved something for his arrogance and attitude but not to the extent he received. But yeah Ibrahim deserved everything. That's why crazy people shouldn't be put into power

Well said too. I prefer to make tears for people who suffered because of him than this Sultan. And the Kafes is not totally an excuse for his behaviors ( I mean Mustafa , Suleiman II and Osman III can't rule well because of this and had true problem of health but they weren't predator and make directly suffered people). I hope Ibrahim was truly mad and did not make a distinction between good and evil because it the only excuse we can find him.

@@nesiacha3659 I agree. But Suleyman II didn't have problems like Mustafa I and Osman III. He had very poor health, and stomach problems, and he died of dropsy (abnormal build-up of fluid in the abdomen).

Drf, I don't think he deserved it. Let me explain. Way before Ibrahim got to the throne, people knew he was mentally unstable. I do agree that he took many bad decisions but how on earth the Divan and even his mother thought it would be otherwise. Why didn't they dethrone him after having Mehmet. Would you trust a mentally ill person with your life??? I don't think so. I do agree he should be dethroned long ago, but I don't think he deserves to be sent to Azrael. Mustafa lived long after his dethronement. Why wasn't it possible for Ibrahim? There is something not going well. I don't really know much about Ibrahim's reign. Just so you know it's not a problem to provide me some knowledge.

Read actual history. The reason why ibrahim became was becuz murad caged him (call a kafes). He became mentally ill and a tyrant, so dethroning him became necessary for the sake of the empire. If u read real history instead of this work of fiction u wouldnt be saying this

Ibrahim face this with dignity: he ran to hug his mother (whom he had exiled and abused by treating her daughters and Kaya badly) but she made it clear to him that he had only two choices: abdicate or face the mob. Not very difficult to understand what choice he made even he did not want to end up like Osman.
