Sultan of Brunei Ferrari Mythos DRIVING in Monaco!!

I encountered the legendary Ferrari Mythos special commission built for the obsessive car collector Sultan of Brunei. This car is based on Testarossa underpinnings, but with a bespoke wedge-shaped body. During the same event in Monte Carlo, I also spotted a McLaren F1 road car, Ferrari 512 Modulo concept car, 250 GTO and many more incredible vehicles.

I have always wondered if the people at pininfarina and the people at Ferrari who helped create this regret it... it looks like they just made something using spare parts and phoned in the design just to make the sultan feel like he was getting something totally special

This is the first Mythos built by Pinifarina as a prototype and is owned by a gentleman from Japan. There are two more that are owned by the Sultan of Brunei and they are rotting in his giant garage in the jungle along with hundreds of other cars. There is a Ferrari broker who flew there and has seen most of the cars.Most have not run in years.

This is not The Sultan's car. There's two Brunei cars, a red and a blue metallic, both with special roof and kind of pop up headlights. Handcrafted by Pininfarina. Only 2/3 old "spy"pictures are known to exist. This one is the original Pinin show car.

The white 👽 space car in this video is a Ferrari 512 Modulo Concept. It was made by Pininfarina let's say for fun in 1970. Ferrari had an extra 512 S, gave it to Pininfarina with a wild card on the design. Poor V12 550hp engine stuck in it...

Tbh i was about to argue that they were helping get the car well parked and making sure it was safely done preventing from hitting anything, it's nothing less than a priceless and extremely rare Ferrari But I rewatched it and yes, the passenger looked like he was teaching the driver how to move the car, in a part of the video it even looks like the passenger is telling him how to put it in reverse. At least now we know why those cars have been stored for so long, he doesn't know how to drive them

Ricardo A lot of times these high-end supercars are awkward when driving slow, even on the streets, yes the clutch and transmission sound terrible, but there super beefed up components, thus you hear it well. A lot of times people kill the engine ,when driving slow with the clutch ,because they don’t give enough gas/throttle.

@@sv5172 It's not to bad I think, but if you take of the catalytic converters it's a whole different story, beastmode sound. The Mythos was build on the Testarossa platform, look for some video's that have Testarossa with catless exhaust and hear the difference.

It was absolutely not made on the purpose to prepare the F50. It was a concept car made for the Japan motor show, 1989. (Testarossa platform, Testarossa engine). They only sold 3 of those fugly concept cars, 2 to the Sultan of of Brunei, 1 to a Japanese Collector. Later, Pininfarina get inspired by the Mythos to create the F50, nothing else.
