I truly emphatise w Kosem She loved and treated Osman as her own. She kept her promise to her love, Sultan Ahmed. I was in same position... Loving another child, Y, as my own... my own 1st child, X, wondered if i loved X 1st child less But i told X No, coz Y's parents are busy, dont want Y to feel neglected But in the end... 💔 If Kosem did not love Osman, she would hv killed him long ago Comments according to this movie I understand some comments say history is not quite the same as the movie Im just commenting as fron the movie

Enthroned Osman was Kösem's biggest mistake. Even in real history, this caused the dynasty losing potential heir once again after Şehzade Mustafa and Şehzade Mahmud

Kosem Sultana didn't make a mistake putting Sultan Osman on the throne It's the order of succession Osman is the eldest son then Mehmed It's the fault of the people who poisoned the thoughts of Osman Like his advisor and Fatiye Sultana These are the evil that causes the downfall of Osman Every ruler has it's own fate ✌

Yes,in real history Mehmet was the only son of Kösem and Ahmet,the smartest,most talented,charming,compassionate and most importantly loved by everyone…especially the Janissaries and army soldiers really admired and worshiped him very much:)that’s why his death caused great pain and anger in everybody…In fact the ottoman people loved him very much,just like they loved Şehzade Mustafa

Horrible moment when Kosem knew that Mehmed would be killed but she can't do nothing ( just like historical Kosem). I believe that both in show and historical version Osman feel bad for execution of Mehmed. The problem that he was young without reliable support even if he should listen Kosem. I really like Ayse Sultana , just like Humasah she is a good supporter of her mother and efficent. At least A sultana who is efficient and who is not a evil like Dilruba. Why the writters in season 2 throw her , instead we have Atike :(

True,instead of Atike and Gevherhan(who weren't even daughters of Kosem irl) there should been Ayse and Fatma and Hanzade too. Shah,Humashah and Ayse were the only imperial sultanas portraited well(even though literally nothing is known about historical Humashah and Ayse),but still at least they didn't butchered them. Dilruba is just psychopath.She litteraly caused all this chaos.

@@drfhgs428 So true about theses Sultanas. But Atike historical was still important as she educated herself Turhan and was very close to her ( just like Ayse Humasah with Safiye). Yes Dilruba is a truly psychopath. But at least she was a very good opponent who use her blood of Sultana very well for make her brother season 4 ( compared this with Mihrimah season 4 or show Atike XD) but still a butcher character ( plus it seems that her true name was Sah Sultan)

@@nesiacha3659 Yes historical Atike was so important. She educated Turhan,and Turhan and Ibrahim named their daughter after her. Mehmed also called Atike his second mother. But about Safiye i think it was Humashah Sultan(daughter of Sehzade Mehmed).Also Murad and Safiye named their first daughter after her. Also Gevherhan Sultan raised and educated Handan,and Ahmed named his first daughter after her. Yes tbh Dilruba is more braver and stronger than show Mihrimah. Yes her name was probably Shah. It's really interesting to know how was her relationship with Ahmed I irl. It is possible that she was involved in Osman's end(but not like in the series). Because some ambassadors have noted that Davud and Shah planed to apoint their son as heir of Mustafa and Halime supported them,but they were stopped by the ulema. After Mustafa dethronement Halime,Shah and Shah's son disappeared forever. It's unknow what happened to them. They probably lived. Maybe they lived like Mahidevran and Meleksima who were exiled, cut from the treasury, and were probably homeless? Nobody knows that. For example we know about Esma Sultan(who is kinda similar as Mihrimah and this Shah)she supported her full brother when he killed their cousin and order his halfbrother to be killed. However Mahmud was saved by his mother,and later Mahmud executed Mustafa. Esma was very furious and angry with him. But later Mahmud and Esma fixed their relationship and they became clouser. Same with Mihrimah and Selim. But no information about Shah. Fun fact:Ayse Sultan(Mihrimah's daughter)and her husband supported Safiye as Haseki,and Fatma Sultan(daughter of Kosem)before her death,included Gulnus in her testament.

But when I think too that Sah ( we will call her like that asthere is a probabilty that it was her name ) is maybe involved on the end of Osman ( after all her husband and her mother were involved) and maybe to the attempt of murders of sehzade but not like these. It is safe to said that she was not as horrible in real life. I don't think that Kosem would allowed that Halime and Sah would live in poverty. Not because they like each other ( it is safe to said they probably dislike each other) but for pragmatic reasons. After the death of Osman the title of Padisah was very little respected and it took a lot of effort for Kosem and Murad to restore the prestige of the dynasty. So condemning Halime and Sah to poverty (as Suleiman foolishly did with Mahidevran, or even Osman with Meleksima. Did it cross Suleiman's mind that by dragging Mahidevran down to earth after Mustafa's death could diminish the prestige of the dynasty and therefore the position of the Sultan because after all that we have done a mother from a sehzade, you can do it with more patience and time with a sultan, you just have to see what happened to Osman would have only further diminished prestige in this time of chaos. Kosem at that time despite the loss of her son and Ahmed was still very lucid and able to compromise even with the people she dislike and made her suffer

@@nesiacha3659 I don't really agree with some parts here. Yes what Suleiman did to Mahidevran had no excuse and it's injustice, but we must remember that the padishah had the biggest authority that time. Similar like in the European Kingdoms during Middle ages. Suleiman changed a lot of rules and traditions in the empire which was thought by someone to be not appropriate and some criticized it. But still that time statesmens or people couldn't dare or go against or judge the sultan's word. About Osman's case(it's totally different),nobles didn't care about Osman at all, they used this situation like excuse to claim the throne and end the dynasty. Because Mustafa was mentally unstable, the other heirs were children. And Halime and her allies just worsened the situation. It was just chaos,and it's not impossible that Halime and Shah were cut of treasury or their rank, since none mentioned them. I don't think that Kosem or any other statesmen cared about them, everyone was just looking their work. There were more serious problems that time, not only rebelions,the enemies of empire conquered some lands, there were also plague and corruption too. I think that Halime and Shah lived in some house or in the Old Palace, but lost their rank as Mahidevran(Selim later restore her rank yes) and Meleksima. Some people fell sad and sorry about them(Mahidevran, Meleksima, Halime and Shah),but didn't care about it at all and couldn't do anything. Everyone was just minding their own business. But I agree that the decline of the empire can be count as Suleiman's fault.
