​@@GuitarGangsterArmiFr. It's the most idiotic thing to say, "This person can't be as good as this person, because he isn't as good as said person currently." Nobody is born a guitar genius. Some may have to put in more work to get there, but this guy can be as good or better than Guthrie Govan with practice. So can every other person in the world if they put in enough effort.

@@danielmsmbl2 not true. a great part of a persons proficiency is genetics. another their upbringing. most people can never reach Guthrie's level no matter how hard they try. I wouldn't tell a person they will never be good enough, but we need to manage expectations. the average person cannot compare themselves to the best.

One guitar , one set tone...and it matches exact copy of the different artists. This just goes to show... Guitar doesn't matter, sound and tone effects don't matter, gadgets don't matter, full rig don't matter.... Talent and Technique matters. Thats talent and technique right there. All newbies including me should learn from this. Ill be glad if part 2 of sultans of shred is made, throwing in petrucci, malmsteen, eddie Vhalen, marty and hendrix. That would be epic.🔥

I don't have enough superlatives to do this video justice. Your playing is clearly amazing, but the distinction between each of the guitarists styles and how you give them a voice is outstanding. However long it took to compose this, please know it was worth every minute. I've watched this video more times than I can count now.

Bro that was phenomenal. I friggin loved your big smile near the end when you absolutely nailed that Becker-style, crazy, sweep-picked, string skipping arpeggio with the tap at the top of the run. It was like you were saying to yourself “NICE” lol. I had to slow it down to 0.25x speed and zoom in on your hands just to work out what you actually did at that point!!! Bravo sir

There's not much Eric Johnson in Eric Johnson but it's so hard to play in the style of these giants! You still did a really great job, trying to add at least one typical lick or technique of each one of them. I love that you actually composed licks in their respective styles. I've seen other videos where they simply lifted licks right from "Surfing with the Alien" and called it "Satriani style"🙄

I love videos like this. Years ago I took lessons from Tony Smotherman and he’d do stuff like this all the time, he play a backing track or what have you and say this is what it’s sound like if so and do played over it, and every style was so convincing, to this day one of the best guitarist I’ve ever had the pleasure of studying with.
