I quit playing 20 years ago because my daughter was born. I played and sang for 19 years. I have no regrets my daughter is an absolute delight and a treasure. Last year I lost my mom to a Glioblastoma and my daughter went off to college. In my grief I turned to guitar and its been wonderful. I'm 53 now and I just want to tell you I really appreciate your content. Thank you Mary its wonderful playing and a highly entertaining video. Also please release a version with your "new lyrics" 😂❤

As someone who contributed a fair number of the 4 million views, I didn't quite see how soulful your singing was until I watched it in the context of behind the scenes. That daring but silky high note on the word "band" showed your immense talent. Thank you for sharing this new material with your awe-inspired fans.

“That one…” was the most outstanding version of ‘Sultans’ that I’ve heard since I watched/heard the original performed as part of a laser show in my planetarium (I watched/heard it hundreds of times) so many years ago. Your performance was moving, and the stereo recording was a joy to hear. Thank-you both!

Mary, 'Sultans of Swing' was the first video of yours that I saw and it was the beginning of my falling down the proverbial rabbit hole. Your talent, humor, and personality are truly unique and always a joy to see. As a Dire Straits fan, this is quite possibly my favorite cover ever, bar none. The new BTS was fun and a great reminder of why I've watched every new video of yours ever since. Keep up the great work! Give me a shout if you ever get to Orlando; my wife and I would love to take you to dinner and talk about music, life, and everything else. Hope that's not too weird/creepy. LOL Ken

A thing that I imagine is true, living vicariously through you both, is that in the effort of putting together this recording, you're just focused on enjoying the music and companionship and getting a decent take to upload and share with subscribers. There is no way of knowing that it will be a massively successful video. And that must be even better for the memories of the day.

Mary, I think of the tour ahead... please don't bite your nails! I hear Mark B. below me so clearly... I had the daughter just like his and did the same then each loss in my family was a return to the guitar for healing. Your speciality in breakups and heart issues resonates then the love of my life asked to be released after 30 years. Your tour is the prime time to channel the songs of the stream of stresses that are the lyrics of our lives. I see you shake the cramps of play in the video above. You will move from strength to strength! Does Josh have Grammys? Is Josh running several million subscribers? 12 years ago he did Sultan's on his own. He is "REAL" like you. The love of the lyric and the melody, the search for excellence in the art of music but with our soul pinned to the authentic. That's you. In six decades I've yet to play for an audience that was less than blessed. You do that Mary. Josh does that. And Allison Young??? I have shed a tear more than once her art form and genre reached my childhoods vulnerable chords. You will be out there being you. And, I will be proud to have followed your career. Every one lucky enough to have bought a ticket will be blessed by all that you do!

To beat the startup anxiety I always played the beatles song Come Together as the first song to get going as it always just worked. The song is (apart from the lyrics) preety straightforward for some reason and it's a great (inspiring) song due to the riff and crazy lyrics. It's also quite a strong song to catch the audience's attention.

Great film Mary (or should it be Kelly?) and the final version is just so good. Perhaps the cat can't hear very well and so turned up the volume. That really amused me. It never occurred to me that fans of Mary might not even have heard of Josh who I've been following since he was 15 years old, I think he's 31 now. He played a great version of SoS when he was just 15, it'll still be on youtube.
