After 4 years. Bad Omens is 1st in my Top 5 artists according to Spotify(even for myself they are my first) . Dude, much respect. People shit on the band after the whole advertisement bullshit. But on god, they are revolutionizing the metalcore genre. My buddy got me into them a few months after their first album release and I fell in love. One of my best friends has been going through a lot of emotional shit recently, and a few of the songs off the first album have been helping me so much with dealing with the stress of being their for said person. Knowing that other people go through similar shit helps. Their lyrics are amazing

I was listening to my Spotify playlist earlier, and this song was playing when I received the news that my eldest aunt Cindy had past away. She's been having issues with her heart the past few years, had (half-assed) surgery earlier this year, and went into cardiac arrest earlier this evening. This song will now forever mean so much more to me, specifically the lines: "When I go out into the world I just don't like what I see You could call it Paradise But it looks just like Hell to me" This damn world has taken too many innocent people too soon. If we here in the US had universal healthcare, she could have gotten the quality care that she needed. Instead, she was given shoddy care, and it cost her her life. That's not to mention just how much religion has negatively impacted our modern world. We would be so much more advanced as a society without religion holding back science around every damn turn. Anyway, rant over. Thanks, Bad Omens, for writing such amazing music. May my aunt Cindy be forever immortalized in our memories.

"Dethrone" was the first song I heard from this group, then this one. After listening to the rest of the catalog, it's clear that this and "Dethrone" are a great representation of what you're in for if you listen to Bad Omens. With that said, it's brilliant. I’m just here to say that this song in particular was one I had on loop through the hardest and darkest point of my life last winter… a few months have passed since I’ve been able to get out of (most of) the cause of it, and this is still one of my favorites. There pretty versatile with there voice and I love it cause this one was straight clean vocals but I've heard others where they went alot harder and Noah was screaming or Noah would transition from clean to screams it's just nice hearing something different at times honestly
