I love that the majority of Sumerian bands have completely evolved this year! It's awesome! So excited on music this year!!

I have to say I've been to a lot of metal/hardcore shows, and Jesse has to be one of the best frontmen in the genre. He puts so much emotion and emphasis behind his lyrics, and talks/connects to the crowd on a new level. That is so hard to find in metal now a days.. Keep it up STYG!!!

This song could actually get some radio airplay.
@jessicajancetic96489 жыл бұрын
NapoleonBorn2party I'd be happy for Jesse Barnett, because he gives out the most inspirational speeches, it would be great to turn on the radio and just hear STYG, but I'm sorry, this doesn't even compare to Diamond or the Hope Division. I know, I sound like some cranky old fan. I'm sure they will play heavy tracks more in the future.....
@CivortepOfficial9 жыл бұрын
Jessica Jancetic I would see songs like these as more of a lure to get new people in, because it's borderline appealing in most ways to listen to and it's catchy. Discover them, get their albums, maybe even get them into that style of music enough to explore more bands, and bam. Everybody wins and the world keeps going.
@jessicajancetic96489 жыл бұрын
Civortep Yeah that is a good point. I am a musician too and in a way I've sold out a bit ha because I used to play strictly Classical (I'm a cellist.) and I don't listen to or like EDM much but one of my acquaintances asked me to play cello in some of his EDM projects in the future and I agreed.
@CivortepOfficial9 жыл бұрын
I mean I wouldn't consider that selling out, but rather applying your particular style in collaboration with your friend who happens to be composing a genre that's a completely different world. I'd see it as a learning experience if anything, plus it's fun creating things with your talents and other people's as well. Also Cello=\m/ keep the dream alive haha
@jessicajancetic96489 жыл бұрын
well honestly weddings make me the most money and I am starting to hate those the most due to Bridezillas. but...your also rghht about that, it's just going to be something different to try. and the cello can be \m/ in a way lol look up 2cellos lol they are pretty badass. love those guys!

I like this song, but this really makes me feel my age. I remember pile-on vocals for "This is More" and the raw sounds of their earlier work. Now its far more polished and a bit more radio-friendly. Still like it, still love the band, but hope there is some of the more "rough" tracks on the new album!
