Desaturated definitely feels like a good way to describe it. Seeing them on the last tour it really felt like Danny only gave a shit about the new songs where he could do his best Ed Sheeran impressions and this definitely feels like an extension of that. Idk if it's him feeling more comfortable in that register after straining his voice for so long but the music is not trying to compensate for the lost heaviness at all. Desaturated, watered down, Asking Alexandria sounds an aweful lot like Dannys solo stuff.

I’m really liking the chorus on this song. It’s very powerful. I tell you why, Danny’s vocals have improved IMMENSELY over the last few years since returning back to AA. He doesn’t need to do these crazy screams to prove that, because I’m really a fan of the yell-screams he does. They have power and range. If you need something heavier, go to another band. These guys don’t need to prove how hard of a band they are. They’ve been around for 10+ years now. They’ve already done that. I like where they’re at

I’m so glad that you made this comment. I am 110% with you in all of that. They have grown immensely as a band, as have Danny’s vocals. Proud of how far they’ve come, and their confidence to forge their own sound rather than do fan service only.

@zackstrebler72834 жыл бұрын
Monarchy Of Forlorn dude if you don’t fucking like it then beat it. Lol lyrically it’s actually more than fine. Vocally it’s a step above what Danny’s clean vocals have ever been. You don’t need to scream to be a good band. And your name is that of a shitty deathcore band that’s never gonna make it. The riffs are actually pretty sick when you break them down more. The leads are simple but fun and that’s all you need. If you want technical shit then listen to Veil of Maya, who are going down sort of the same path, but they will always be technical and somewhat heavy sounding based on their guitar work. Vocally they aren’t nearly as brutal as they were, but when you’re in your 30’s, things change, voices change and musical references widen. You’re an idiot

@@Straw_Breaker Lyrically the old stuff wasn't the best for the most part (some songs in Reckless and Relentess are lyrically great), but defining of a genre and leading it to its peak it most definitely was. Down to hell is awful, the lyrics are insulting the fans 'cause they don't like the new singles and the writing is bland and unoriginal. The violence has a stolen riff from Jaden Smith. how can anyone listen to that chorus and think "man, i wish it was 10 years earlier" don't get me wrong, i love the emo days too, i was literally listening to The Final Episode in the car today, but that chorus, man, that's what it's about.

Thankfully my house remains ok, but I'm ON FIRE. Been listening to this song for like 20th time today, it's SOMETHING. You have done a very interesting job with this album, for sure. Big THANK YOU for not delaying the release and letting us immerse ourselves in your beautiful music in these times. And don't mind the haters who can't seem to handle the band if it tries to develop themselves and try new things. Much love from Lviv, Ukraine! (please consider visiting us with a tour, as soon as all this quarantine situation cools down)

Total agree. Some people don't involve with years. Some bands like judas priest still play the same shit. I changed metal taste all my life because I envolve. And love the fact that same bands change according to the years. Its call evolution instead of playing what all bands playing

Idk what everyone is complaining about but I'm LIVING to this, I am old AA fan (about 7 years) it may not sound same as reckless and relentless (for example) but it's still lit af🔥
