Jonathan Davis, the guy who saved my life, I remember when I first met him in 2011, I was 19 years old, the only thing I said to him was: "Thanks Jon you saved my life", He looked at me, smiled and said: "I'm glad". One of the best days of my life

I hate it when people base rock (metal) on how hard it is and do not take darkness or depth into the equation. Many of us have grown up with this guy's music and now as adults want to hear something deeper. That is what he is giving us. Original Korn fans, those who are still listening, are now in their 30s and early 40s. Not everything has to based around teens.

Why don't people get that it ISN'T KORN. It's Jonathan's solo project. Read the description. It's also why it says "Johnathan Davis" and not "KoRn". Regardless, this song is fucking incredible and it's very deep and I love it. I'm incredibly excited for more songs in the future.
@kimmy16613 жыл бұрын
I will never get over these lyrics. They are so true to life itself. The world is sinful and corrupt and we have to accept that about ourselves. Like the first step to even trying to be a better person is to acknowledge it and accept the presence of it. Sometimes though we are stuck with traits and issues that we can't change but we can help make it better. Sadly it is what it is 🤷♀️ Good song Jonathon Davis. I connect with your pain.

What It Is (Lyrics) Pretty soon you have to deal With the truth behind the way you feel And I'd rather never know I would do anything, anything Not to bring who I am to meet me This useless suffering Ugly part of me is screwing me As it feeds me But it is what it is You don't know how to live with what it is But it is what it is It may seem impossible But I will embrace who I really am If it's a son of a bitch or a terrified kid Then that's what it is Pretty soon you'll have to face You're a virus called the human race And I'll never, never know I have done everything, everything Not to feel what it is I'm feeling This basement devil is kicking the ass Of my angel on the ceiling But it is what it is You don't know how to live with what it is But it is what it is It may seem impossible But I will embrace who I really am If it's a son of a bitch or a terrified kid Then that's what it is Don't push me, don't kill me What it is 'cause it is what it is Don't play games, don't mess with What it is 'cause it is what it is Don't ask me, don't tell me What it is 'cause it is what it is Don't push me, don't kill me What it is 'cause it is what it is Don't run from where you come from 'Cause it is what it is And I, I But it is what it is You don't know how to live with what it is But it is what it is It may seem impossible But I will embrace who I really am If it's a son of a bitch or a terrified kid Then that's what it is

To me, this is about living with depression and anxiety. Embracing it. Facing the world feeling like a total alien. No matter how you try to change to make yourself feel like a different person, you will just keep coming back to this feeling. There is no cure, but it doesn't mean you should give up finding your happiness in this world. It just is what it is.

Terrible things could happen in our lives that we couldn’t imagine happening to us ever. When it does you don’t know how to feel or what you feel is how you really feel. In reality you have to accept how you feel and embrace what it is. Even if it means it’s a side of you that isn’t a part you what to bring out.

*THIS* is true motivation. This speak to pretty much all of us. Not many of my friends understand the stuff I like, but yet I try to fit in with them. Might as well embrace it. With all that said, Jonathan Davis, how can I ever thank you for all you've done for me?
