Reminder : When you put box braids in - •You will not be able to sleep the 1st 3 days because you are going to be pressing in the braids ! •It will feel heavy the first few days as well •It will hurt and be very sensitive ! That's it but those are only the first few days !

Donna Perkins Make a horizontal part from ear starting in the back. Clip the rest of the hair out of the way. Then use a rat tail comb to draw a diagonal line starting from the straight line you created. Then make another diagonal going in the opposite direction, starting from the same point. Draw a triangle like you would on paper lol It's so easy

KarmaWith DaCurls same I want to get triangle part braids but rubber bands are terrible on my hair & it ends up breaking off so easily even with my thick hair. Plus after about 3 days it sometimes eoould feel like the bands were somehow getting tighter 😳

Whenever oil or grease is added, it weakens the structure of the rubberbands; it softens it. Even when I used them on my daughter's hair the night before taking her to my mom's house, they popped right off her hair. I feel the breakage is caused when the hair is not properly moisturized.

@@cobiy5546 I agree. I have tried both the rubber band method and the non-rubber band method. The rubber band method helped keep the hair parts neater for longer, I used the latex ones which were gentle on the hair. No complaints.
