Guys when are you making a cream ale? It would be awesome to see your guys' version of a decent cream ale!

Definetely recommend raising mash to 170 before lifting the basket. Especially if not squeezing the bag. Just a suggestion

Very cool to see Westbrook on here. I live close by and recently have lost interest in them. Not sure if they have changed their process. I am really digging New Anthem In Wilmington NC now.

Loving your brewday as per... I need to do something like that with my lid for recirculating. No sparge too. I'm going to do the same next time. We have the same basket 😃 Thanks for sharing 👍🏼

Hi guys, i ve tried the recipe! Unfortunately i feel more the barley malt than the hoppy aroma where you can take the dryness etc.. its a sweet beer. No flaws and no praise. Hope the other recipe are better because you are the best!

Hey great video! I really enjoyed it. I heard you say you needed to adjust your Beersmith, so with that said my question is; would you be willing to share your Beersmith equipment profile for the Claw Hammer 10.5 gallon? Thanks and happy brewing!!!!

Since you were chilling this overnight - did you leave the hops in for the whole duration of the chill like you usually do (with the usual, fast chills)? Wouldn't leaving them in for such a long time significantly alter the flavour?

I can tell this was one of your earlier videos ^__^

Noticed you didn't sparge. Is it unnecessary to sparge when using the straining basket?
@john84514 жыл бұрын
You still need to sparge, even with a malt pipe. There is still a lot of sugar in those grains.

It seems you guys boil the wort with the lid on. No DMS off-flavour?

Cheers From Brazil, you could use less water in the mash and ¨wash¨thre grains after lift de basket.....thats how i do....
@ClawhammerSupply6 жыл бұрын
I'm a pretty lazy brewer-- sparging will help with efficiency. I just add a bit more grain to the grain bill.

btw why do you guys use a basket? I usually just throw it into the boil... but I'm nowhere near as experienced (which is probably obvious). I'm guessing so you can control exposure.

for larger amounts of hops you'll clog up your pump. He has a little mister on his lid that would for sure clog

Hey man! Great video! I really enjoyed it. Gonna brew your recipe. Also, I know you linked the channel for the music but whats the actual song name? I can't find it on his channel. Cheers!

What happened to the hooks you were using after removing the grain basket? The bar thing is new...
@ClawhammerSupply7 жыл бұрын
Bart Mink - we tried out a different system for this video but the hooks work better so that's what comes with the kit.

@@ClawhammerSupply Hey, bro! I see that you use StarSun as desinfector, but our russian microbiologists did the experiment witn StarSun and this stuff shows absolutely uselessness. These guys are very qualified.

Is there a way to whirlpool with this system?
@ClawhammerSupply7 жыл бұрын
+Kenneth Knott - Yes, in fact we just whirlpooled a session IPA that we made today. We don't have a dedicated fitting for this but it's easy to do using one of our transfer hoses.

How long to heat to mash temps with 15amps? How about mash to boil? The boil does look vigorous..
@ClawhammerSupply7 жыл бұрын
+Kenneth Knott - I meant to time this today but was doing 2 batches at once and got overwhelmed. We'll time the next batch and make a point to announce it in the video.

I love you guy's but you never talk about the PH in your mash which without the correct PH you'll never acieve good efficiency in your conversion.
@ClawhammerSupply6 жыл бұрын
We can talk about PH in one of our next videos. We check the PH but it is not something we typically film but we can easily add that into the next brew day that we film.
