I never really like poncho because it will be to hot to wear where I live. But this one is so versatile, I'm going to make one from a lighter yarn (bamboo yarn) as a present for my friend. She's a new mum and it will be great for her to use as cover up when she have to breasfeed in public.

sheetaltyagi4130 thank you, a tester is a larger lady and she made it the same size as my directions, it was just fine, but if you want to add some more chains to the required multiple, and do a few more rows it will come bigger, hope this helps, Anja x

One question, in the video you say that you need 6 balls for the poncho; however the yarn pack with the three colors has only 5 balls of each color. Does this mean I need to get two yarn packs? Thank you.

This poncho was made with Aran, so not DK, the pictures represent the colours. We sell individual balls of Aran on our website so best to get that for the poncho. Hope this helps. Anja x

Completely lost with the beginning chaining, not counting and then counting and then measuring and then….just lost. Why not do a multiple of 3 since that’s how you end up counting in the end?
