Great video as always. As a new homeowner with very little in the way of “lawn budget,” I have been spoon feeding my lawn every 4-5 weeks with 18-0-1. I’ve also been putting down AIR8, Humic12, and RGS, alternating every other week, sometimes in pairs. Along with proper watering, and mowing every 3 days, my lawn(soil) is immeasurably improving with each app. Thanks for your amazing products! The only thing is... How do your videos have under 200 likes each, with a thousand views? I can’t understand!! Your really know your stuff. I’ve gone back to the beginning of your channel and make it a point to watch each one and like. Usually while I’m in the lawn. :) keep up the great work! I can’t wait to see what you come up with N-Ext.

well its good to officially know that the 18-0-1 is safe during hot temps.. plans from other sites said not to use the 18-0-1. It recommended the 0-0-2 micro green cause the others would push to much growth, and would be bad during hot periods when grass slows down?

Do you think cutting a lawn up in central NY that is a little thin shorter for a season would help to thicken it up. It is your normal mix for up here but has been over-seeded with some elite bluegrass seed. I have been cutting tall the last couple years. Just trying to think outside the box.
@Lawncology5 жыл бұрын
+Gruve Nasty cutting low will encourage more spreading of the turf. Just bring it down slowly so you don’t cause too much stress

So after absorbing all the videos I've watched over the last year, I'm going to say that as I try (or nature does it for me) to bring the lawn out of the summer dormancy, I should use some humic 12, RGS and some 0-0-2, wait a week or so while watering, then give it a low rate of granular fert? Then punch it around mid September? Two weeks post op from back surgery, so not sure yet how aggressive the doc will let me be. Nature might still have the controls till the 1st of September.
@Lawncology5 жыл бұрын
I think that's a great plan. Don't overdo it with too much work my friend, take your time to heal. the lawn isn't going anywhere

@@Lawncology same restrictions as before. Nature will just have to do it's thing. Rain is in the forecast next few days and low 80's and 60's. You're right. Unless that heat wave fried the roots it'll green again soon enough.

Looking good! I asked this in your other video, but incase you missed it (i didn't realize new video was released today!). KBG lawns, do you need to overseed? If so, at what frequency? My front lawn is KBG and it's pretty thick, only one area where it is a bit thin, but I imagine it will spread itself where it can, eventually.
@Lawncology5 жыл бұрын
+Jaber you don’t need to oversees. It’s a perennial grass that will go dormant and come right back

@@Lawncology Thanks! That is what I figured. My backyard I have to overseed again, due to the damage from the dogs, traffic and some fungus. It's also a mix of PRG, Creeping Red Fescue and just recently introduced more KBG for self repair. I was excited to see KBG germination from my spring overseed to repair winter damage! We have some companies going around already trying to sell their overseed for the upcoming season and some are buying into it! Probably introducing crap seed into our KBG sod.
