So in American Cinematographer from December 2014 it says Panavision's chief optical engineer Dan Sasaki provided a custom 80mm T2 Mamiya he'd made for The Dark Knight Rises. So yes that would be the F1.9 used on Imax. Most likely for close ups during Imax sequences and a different 50mm for wider shots.

to use the CM15 to light the b-roll of the CM15 use a mirror. Use two mirrors for inception. Use three for infinityception

The mirror thought did occur to me lol, I could have cosplayed Link with the mirror shield in Ocarina. Would have been a great bit!!

New enthusiast here…. Why do I prefer photos that come out like 0:55 to 0:57? Is my eye untrained or something? I feel like when it’s too sharp and crisp people don’t like the result, and I could have taken razor sharp photos on the iPhone (and people will say they don’t like it) hahaha. 0:55 feels vintage and cool 🤷🏼‍♂️ Someone help me understand what a “good photo” is hahah. Cuz I rarely have the same opinion as people I see on KZbin.

Sounds to me like you're interested in film :) There's no right or wrong answer in my opinion. You like what you like. It's most important to create with whatever inspires you. I personally enjoy shooting film because it's very tactile-- I get in the darkroom (my bathroom lol) and develop the photos. I scan and edit them. It's way more involved and hands on than shooting digital. And while my rate of technically good photos is far higher on digital (for obvious reasons lol) you get that 'magic' in the darkroom. And those banger shots tend to become a lot more special to you. Especially when you can physically hold the negative up to light and see it. Just my two cents

@@SweetLouPhotography yeah you’re right, guess I’m a film guy. I don’t know anything about dark rooms.. but I know that when I print photos from a digital camera (iPhone) I’m like “yeah.. I get it.. everything is crystal clear and whatever..” but then I see an old film photo from the storage room, and I’m like “holy shit these are so much better BECAUSE it’s not a perfect crystal representation” it’s a little grainy. A little fuzzy sometimes.. looks like a photo to me 🤷🏼‍♂️
