I think including sewing content in the podcast would be so cool. I mean, I currently don’t know how to knit and just getting back into the swing of crocheting. I genuinely just enjoy the energy you have when talking about something you’re working on.

Ty for the feedback!! And I totally get it-- I think I got pulled into sewing cause I heard other knitting podcasters talking about their sewing projects lol

i think same video with chapters works, or do sewing at end of video and people can leave early if they want

OOh I do like the sound of adding it to the end of the video-- thanks for the idea!

Great knitting. It's nice to see how you play with color. I am intentionally a lot more boring when it comes to that. I'm really glad to see you playing with different yarns too. I like hearing what people think of other things than merino or sock yarn. The Gilliat is very lofty and loosely spun. It will grow during blocking. Texture is apparent, but it is relatively flat due to the spinning. It's really nice and pretty affordable. Softens up after blocking a lot. The Mota is more densely spun and I think their sizing is a bit large (aka, if you want a DK, prob order their sport). It is local sheep breeds and is grown, process, spun etc. in one place which is really cool. It is less soft than your merino for sure. Because of the tighter twist it is pretty good with texture. My vote for the sewing videos is to make them separate. However, I know its a lot of work, so chapters is fine.

I'm excited to see how working flat through the front shaping and then knitting in the round and steaking works for your cardigan! I don't love a crew neck/round neck shaped cardigan and I never thought of doing partial in the round and steaked. It seems genius and if it's a success I will be stealing in the future for other v-neck stockinette cardigans with picked up button bands.

Yes! Please make a project vlog for the Wave Sweater , I'm 100% with you that the pattern is not very clear , so a project log would be very helpful / interesting to many.

You would also probably monetize really well from such a video as there is very little visual resources/ help guides our there 🤑

So glad to see a new video of yours! Missed them ❤ I also think that sewing should stay at the end of the video (with chapters) and maybe crotchet between the two. I would love to see the project vlog for the wave sweater! I'm so intimated by it.

Aw thank you, it felt good to get back to making videos 😌It looks like I will be sharing a wave sweater video! I will say, I think the beginning of the sweater is the most complex part. I probably made it a bit more complicated with the mods lol-- but overall it is a manageable project

It is such a fun, easy project!! And it comes in two different sizes too, so you can make it according to how much yarn you want to use. I think I might end up knitting another one too 😌

Hello Mili, I think you can include sewing and crochet in the same podcast just add chapters so people can go to the chapter they like, personally I follow the entire episode while knitting or crocheting so for me it's not an issue

lovely podcast! i definitely wouldn't mind seeing your sewing projects included in your podcasts as well - maybe separating them by chapters would be a solution, that way everyone can choose whether they see them or not :) excited to see your europe video too! i split this video between mending some uniqlo trousers and knitting the body on my fingering weight storm sweater

I really enjoyed your new episode! 💕 Can’t wait to hear more about your travels and yarn acquisitions in the next vlog! ☺️ Also, it would be lovely to see a separate video for your textile and sewing projects. And a project video for spektaklstrik sweater would be very nice. 🫶 I knitted on the Korshavn Slipover in a leaf green bamboo viscose yarn while watching your vlog. I plan to knit the armhole hems and neckline with baby pink merino to make it into a playful summer slipover to wear on cooler summer nights. 😊

Thank you for the feedback - it is helpful when deciding what to record and share! 🥰 The stitch pattern in the Korshavn series is soo pretty; it's so clever to modify it into a summer option! And you really can't go wrong with a pink and green color combination 🍉

Lovely to see what youve been working on! I laughed when you mentioned ugly yarn labels making you less likely to buy the yarn... I'm the exact same way 🙈😂 it just ruins the vibe!
@whatsmilimaking4 ай бұрын
I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one that thinks that way 😂 I think part of the reason it took me so long to try cascade 220 is cause I thought the label was so ugly every time I saw it at the yarn store lol

Thanks for another lovely episode! I was working on a modified Chambray top by Atelier Amelie! I'm moding the collar to be like the bepeu top and I'm really excited for it to be done. Also knitting it in a marled navy/white Woolfolk yarn which is rocking my world.

Omg I just came back from a trip to the UK (Scotland) as well and also bought a sweater's quantity of Kinros 4ply! I got the red shade "Mary" (seemed right bc we saw so many amazing portraits of Mary Queen of Scots in Edinburgh). Can't wait to hear what you do with yours!! I am thinking a longsleeved maggie cardi by Petite Knit.
@whatsmilimaking4 ай бұрын
Ahh I hope you had a lovely trip! And I am jealous I did not come up with the same idea and do the same thing 😂 A red, Mary inspired, long sleeved cardigan will be iconic. Are you going to fudge the numbers or do you think you'll hit gauge with the yarn? I am thinking of knitting a long sleeved poppy tee but am worried I won't be able to hit the sport weight gauge with the yarn
@worldangel74 ай бұрын
@@whatsmilimaking I was hoping to meet gauge hehe but idk! the pink you got is also gorgeous, I think a poppy tee would be divine! Kinros is supposedly a cashmere dupe so I was hoping I could sub it in for the cardiff cashmere :)

Same video with chapters would be cool. Also - I'm really interested in the wave sweater content because I'm interested in making it. What sweater did size did you make?
@whatsmilimaking4 ай бұрын
I made the S/M! I based it off the bust circumference given in the pattern, and then did some math with the instructions to figure out how deep the yoke and upper arm circumference would be. So I guess the bust circumference meets the S/M size but everything else has different dimensions 😅
