Stopping the grain export deal is a good thing for Russia, because of 2 things : 1. Ukraine has been using the grain corridor to launch drone attacks on Crimea. Due to many commercial ships in the area for grain transport, it's impossible for Russia to track the attack drones. 2. The grains were used by Ukriane to pay back the military support funded by western countries. They always said that the grain was for the world, in fact Ukraine only exported to NATO at super cheap price. So this is part of an operation to stop the funding to the war.

it is a military and financial maneuver and will probably work extremley well for Russia the west will find themselves paying much more for grain and if Russia increase the pressure on the gas situation thats even pain for western economies especially in Europe. ironic considering all the sanctions the west have imposed on Russia which was going to bring them and Putin down yet the west are in a critical finacial mess and russia have their foot on their neck. btw i did hear that Russia has said they will make provisions to ensure the third world countries wont be impacted. ihope this does happen because during that whole grain deal, product marked for Africa never got there, they got a fraction of what was promised because the grain went to the highest bidders in most cases.

Reading some posts on Reddit from the Ukrainian side. The Ukrainian losses are triple then what's being reported. Ukraine solders are being forced to fight or face death. 90% of the Ukrainian forces are untrained and are just being thrown to their deaths. Ukraine units are surrendering in pockets all over the front, which is not being reported either. Its an absolute nightmare!

Russian tanks have the possibility of firing HE shells indirectly, basically acting like a short range artillery system. That's probably what we were seeing with the t90M, you don't really need line of sight to use it in that way, just some fire correction from a drone for example.

Those of us who study history and were well versed in Russia long before this war have been vindicated. Just last week I posted on an article here how I just could not figure out why Russia is holding back. CNN types say Russia is stupid vodka-swilling incompetents, their economy a shambles, none of their equipment works, and they'd run away when the first Leopard 2 showed up. I knew none of that was true, but there was little objective proof-----until now. Russian defeated two of the largest armies in history in Napoleon and Hitler; by all accounts they should have turned all of Ukraine to rubble and steamrolled whatever was left 18 months ago. Putin's measured methodology is what created Prigozhin; many on the Far Right in Russia have long excoriated Putin for being too soft. Well, I guess Putin has waited long enough.

No, Russia's slow tactics are paying dividends for many reasons. This economical grinding of Ukraine is destroying NATOs means and will to continue this fight. They also needed more time to gear up their military production and develop new technologies, mobilise and train more personnel to fight and support the fight. Russia always had to have plenty of military capacity in reserve to deter or react to NATO joining the war directly.

19.....👀👀👀👀👀......In Poland, they told about how many tanks were transferred to Ukraine Deliveries of armored vehicles began in the first half of 2022. So, according to an earlier interview with Polish President Duda in 2022, Poland handed over T-72M / M1 tanks, as well as modernized T-72M1P tanks, to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, last year the number of transferred tanks was more than 240 units. In 2023, the supply of armored vehicles continued. So Poland agreed to transfer 60 PT-91s and 14 Leopard 2A4s In addition to tanks, Polish BVP-1 infantry fighting vehicles were also supplied to Ukrainian armored units. According to journalists for 2023, Poland gave 42 BMP data to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As artillery for the tank units of the Ukrainian army, self-propelled guns 2S1 "Gvozdika" were transferred. Thus, according to journalists, Poland has already transferred more than 300 tanks. According to official statements by the Polish authorities, the total military assistance to Ukraine cost the Polish budget 50 billion zlotys....💸💸💸💸💸🤑..

I think when they state the range of a shell from a tank, they are probably referring to 3000 metres with reasonable accuracy and/or penetrative power, depending on the type of shell used. When a shell reaches its maximum range, say 3000 metres, it doesn't just drop out of the sky like it hit an invisible brick wall. It carries on for a good few hundred, or even thousand metres, before it finally falls to the ground. When I was in the British Army, the main rifle we used, we called it the SLR (though it was the Belgian FN), had a maximum range of 300 metres. Though we were told the round actually carried on for 2-3 miles, before it finally fell to the ground. 300 metres was just the maximum range where there was a reasonable chance of hitting the target, and doing it some reasonable damage.

If Ukraine does any better it's because of this. Latest intercepted radio traffic in the battle areas consist mainly of Russian, Polish and American English with very little Ukrainian being heard. Shows why they are dragging men off the streets in Lvov. No Ukrainians are coming back from the front. Apparently there are masses of Ukrainian heritage men in the US and Canada who have volunteered and are now fighting in this war. This could be around 10,000 men. Poland was going to send in 30,00 troops but Putin found out and sent Wagner to the Polish border areas to block and threaten.

If another war breaks out in the Middle East (that's not far away, in Iraq most likely) then the US will get pulled in. Then they will be unable to keep giving as much support to Ukraine - and with the US heading for the back door on Kiev, most European countries will follow soon after. The US doesn't have the economic or military clout to carry on two full-scale wars at the same time. In the sixties they had that ability but not these days.

a bridge like that can look fine, but be teatering on the brink of collapse, sending a heavy loaded train across it might be possible still, or it may end up dumping its load in to the water when it collapses while the train is on it.... that might even be the point of the strike. if they loose the bridge they can move the weapons by pontoon bridge in a week. but if they loose the train because they thought it would hold, its an even bigger win.

It can fire and hit targets at that distance. American tank could as well. They are nothing more then artillery pieces used as direct fire weapon encased in Armor. You would not be using a SABOT round firing that distance due to the deterioration of Kinetic force needed to penetrate armor drops off drastically after 3600-4000 meters. You would be lobing in HEAT or AP rounds in. Tanks have a set up using a level and azimuth for indirect fire missions if needed. We used to train for it. Using a spotting drone to correct and adjust fire just makes it even more doable and a logical simple solution to quickly deal with problems.

The EU/NATO have totally lost their way in the terrain, not only when it comes to this war. The EU is supposed to be a project for peace and mutual safety in Europe, but they don't really seem to have any coherent security doctrines anymore, other than "just obey the US, guys!".

ONYX missiles seem suboptimum for this task, Unless modified, ONYX missiles seem an unacceptable choice for attacking a steel frame railroad bridge. Steel frame bridges are difficult to destroy, the explosive force goes in the low resistance air around the ridgid steel bridge members, unless a very large explosive is use very close to the bridge. The first Crimea bridge attack used a huge explosive, much larger that can be delivered by air, that did modest damage to the railroad bridge. ONYX missiles in the standard version have an armor piercing warhead traveling at high speed with a time delay fuse, and a relatively small warhead which is exactly the wrong combination. ONYX missiles are likely to pass right through a frame bridge and explode at or close to the water. This type of performance is unlikely to cause much damage to a steel frame railroad bridge unless a support (lucky hit) or the solid approaches at the end of the bridge are hit. This second option may lift the bridge off the support or damage the support. FAB 1500 or large bombs with contact fuses would be a good choice to hit the bridge but would put the plane delivering the FAB 1500 in danger. Perhaps several smaller FAB's with longer ranges would work, but are not the preferred option. Stepping back in time, the best choice for a bomb would be a WW II British Tallboy (5 ton) or Grand Slam (10 ton) filled with Torpex. The goal is to hit the ground next to the bridge and literally cause a small earthquake that destroys the integrity of the foundations of the supports. The Brit's used these bombs to good effect in WW II. Of course, such a bomb is not available to Russia today.

@lonestar1233 Thank you. Nice analysis. What about seabourne drones as there is now no opposing navy or "grain deal"? To take out the bridge supports as you say, and/or airbourne to more accurately take out steel bridge members. I don't think Dima mentioned ONYX once in this video but had it in the thumbnail: How do uou know it was such?

Today's report from you paints a very grim picture. It could not have been otherwise. For the Ukrainian foot soldier, Kenny Rogers lyrics* have never rung truer. Do or die trying. Stop. Turn on your own political officers. They know that they are not cornered rats. They know they face victors who guard no ill will to them. *You got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away And know when to run
