@@fatgirlboy9341 It's NATO tactics based on pre-supposed reaction. The problem is that most NATO tactics are open-source and have been studied thoroughly by the Russians, while Russian tactics are closed-source and have no counterpart from NATO. As a result, NATO is blind when moving forward, and "hopes" that entering NorthWest of Klisheevka will make the Russians retreat. Meanwhile, the Russians know what is under the bonnet and move to maximise the damage, with no response available in NATO's books. They try to figure Russians' tactics and adapt their own, but there are too many and not exposed before tested... Ouch. Thus, not knowing how the Russian brigades cover their territory, they come to crazy ideas like trying to pass in the middle of 2 Russian lines hoping the low-ground area will be covered by none of the brigades... and discover the hard way that the area is covered by both, multiplying the exposure to fire. I'm surprised there is still anything left able to step back there...

Russia needed an empty frontline to fully leverage their forces and its arsenal. Cities are messy. But here its flatlands void of people and industries and this is where you can most efficiently demilitarize and denazify the Galician forces. No collateral damage, no ability to prove anyway which shell has destroyed which building. Everything is dead on this frontline. This is the strip of land where the nationalists will end, and their Empire equipment. And all that with minimal losses on Russia's side. 1:12 ratio right now. Every day invested yields 1200% return for Russia. As long as the Galicians keep coming I wouldn't change a thing, just make the enemy believe they are effective. Also the cleanup will be much easier, as it is only a 50km empty flatland belt that needs to be cleaned up. Easy to do. All the while you can selectively take out additional personell and armour in the rear while optimizing your missile capability. That puts the nationalist death rate at >1000 a day or 30k per month. Allin all some 500k nationalists will be pacified by the end of this 30 month campaign while Russia will sport the best army on the planet and the best military systems honed to perfection. A perfect choice in time and place to end the Empire's expansion and acceleraet the emergence of a multipolar world and thus to open up a golden gae of progress through a pluralistic world order of states who can define their own development paths based on their own cultures and natural comparative advantages. So, all very good and according to plan - and actually we in the West should all thank Russia that it delivers this overly due global transformation!

The Russians are preparing something big, it seems like they have pulled air defense, air force, artillery and men from the southern and eastern fronts, they are prepping the northern / north eastern fronts. At least that would make sense, increase pressure in areas of less resistance. Especially if aimed at Kharkov or Sumy. Add the continued attack on port facilities in the south west and if they are smart, strategic logistics and infrastructure hubs in the west. Once the ports have been taken out, you need to take out rail and road, bridged and hubs. Of course air fields. After more than one year it is strange that there are any airfields and an air force left, if not taken out completely they should be under constant repair and pressure.

the thing about soviet-designed planes (mig 29, su25) is that they are designed to take off from a dirt road or a meadow, from any roughly flat surface, (not at all like the F16s promised to Ukraine) so these planes take off from what is not an airpot and land elsewhere in what is not an airport either. see the technical sheet of the Mig 29 or the Su 25 these are planes designed to be as close as possible to the front zone. South Africa, where I come from, had nuclear bombs, and we lost our country to a terrorist organisation armed with AK47s, petrol bombs and burning tyres, backed by western politicians and oligarchs, just like in Ukraine today, who immediately started to loot and destroy the country. The Nuclear bombs, with a lot of other stuff, found their way to Israel with the help of people like Tony Blair and Prince Charles. What happened in SA can also happen in Russia, who was also helping the ANC at that time. Nuclear weapons will not help them either, if they are not willing to use them or make some other powerful statement and never fall for western sweettalk/pressure/propaganda/BS. Luckily there is no terrorist with the name Nelson in a Russian jail that the West can use as a future Russian god president in a puppet government controlled by the west. So, NATO is fighting a war against its arch enemy Russia without losing a drop of blood, while Russia and Ukraine are being bled dry. Also, the USA is using NATO to wage a war against Europe and Russia is fighting for Europe to survive this evil onslaught while Europe is unaware off its addiction to US orders and leadership. A big fear of the USA is that Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Germany, and their neighbouring countries should join hands, form their own Eastern European Union, and stop NATO/USA. When these countries stand together where East meets West and West meets East, they can become the most prosperous and powerful countries in the world because they can have the best of both East

@ 11:20 Dima, I don't think you realize that guided glide bombs, like the JDAM or Russia's GROM-2, can be used outside of the combat radius of air defense. The aircraft using these bombs have "toss bombing" capability, where they "throw" the bomb by pulling into a steep climb as they release the bomb, allowing it to be launched from well inside their own territory. The only systems that have a chance of intercepting them are air defense systems like the Pantsir-S1M, but even with those top of the line short range air defense system, you have an intercept probability around 50% for stopping objects as small as bombs or artillery shells. It's possible, but extremely hard. The only real solution is to deploy fighters with medium and long range air-to-air missiles, something like the R-77, and shoot down the bomber from beyond visual range (BVR), since putting a long range SAM system like the S-400 that close to the front, is a death sentence for such a valuable system, just ask Ukraine's S-300M's.

Sad to see the death of the Ukr before our eyes in this manner. At least a lot of the normal people living there did nothing to deserve this kind of annihilation. We should all exercise caution and wisdom in choosing those whom we give the mandate to rule. Because God will absolutely visit the fruits of their sins on the people who tolerated and enabled their actions 😢.

I keep asking about the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and since the beginning of the special operation I see these brigades at the front on the map, still the same specifically as far as the name is concerned, but… Many have fallen at Backmoth, dozens more at the Soledar front, and now a massacre in the offensive. However, the same brigades continue to exist to this day. That there are brigades of zombies, it is absurd to imagine, so it means that the maps are fake, they follow the misleading Ukrainian narrative, that it is the Russians who fall, while they win. But they are always the ones who lose positions on the field.

The Army had 3 Divisions, one Cavalry and two Infantry Divisions. The Cavalry Division, was formed of the Light and Heavy Brigades. The Light Brigade consisted of the 4th and 13th Light Dragoons, the 17th Lancers, and the 8th and 11th Hussars. The Heavy Brigade consisted of the 4th Royal Irish Dragoon Guards, the 5th Dragoon Guards, the 6th Inniskilling Dragoons and the Scots Greys.

How stupid does it sound to enclose yourself between TWO brigades instead of facing just one? Totally agree on the NorthWest of Klisheevka being a "meatgrinder" and an ambush area. But NATO strategy is all about tactical movement, even if it's mere suicide. Regarding the JDAMs, my question would be more about the planes dropping them. Air defence is not the only thing, we know there are Russian Su-35 perfectly able to hunt the bombers and there were reports a couple of weeks ago that some Su-24 and Su-25 were shot down when bringing the Brirish Storm Shadow missiles, but there are no news about air fights, thus I don't get it: is that there is no (or insufficient) Russian air defence, or is it that Russian jets are wary of a friendly fire from their own air defence, or is it something else, such as tracking the bombers to "Kinzhal" their home base later?

I’m surprised to see Ukrainian forces succeed in the Bakmut Front. Ukraine is obviously determined, but they are eviscerated on every advance. So my question is are they being baited or are they just overmatching the Russian forces. I don’t have the answer right now.
@Matruchus Жыл бұрын
Bakhmut area is not fortified. The Wagner idiots stormed the city eventhough they were ordered not do it. This is now the single biggest weakpoint on the Russian line.
@thomaslacornette1282 Жыл бұрын
That would a very clever to bait them here, its one of the deepest point of the frontline and Ukrainians just dive further into Russian lines but it's the end they encircle themselves. Also give them the feeling they are "wining" somewhere and keep them motivating to continue the war. I think at this point Russia is ready to demelitarize Nato and to destroy completely Ukraine army and volunteers even if they need years to achieve it. To do this they need Ukraine to continue the war and keep going with war of attrition.
@TK421-53 Жыл бұрын
You are probably right on all points. Ukrainians are pressed for success and they have little regard for their operational losses, especially the cannon fodder brigades see to be expandable. The Russians make use of elastic defense, they will pull back if it improves their position and will allow for a kill zone and finally with a broad front the Russian forces are not concentrated everywhere at the same time. IMO the preparations for a an additional front is having an effect on the frontline. Also see to be preparing some offensive action(s) on the existing fronts, again pulling away reserves from the defense. Most of all the air defense and frontal) air force seems to have reduced their activity. You also see far less helicopter action. Something is brewing.
