Күн бұрын

I kicked off this day around high tide and planned on fishing for about 4 hours of the outgoing tide. The bite was slow until I stopped at a creek mouth and casted a Jelley Baits Assassin Paddle tail and picked up a small flounder. I just happened to notice the time, and the tide had started to fall and thus the current was moving. I worked my way around the Murrells Inlet creeks and came upon another creek mouth with ample current. I caught my second and third flounder on a Zman 3” shrimp with Procure. As I moved up the creek a surprise Croaker decided to play. He was about 13” and my Personal Best croaker. On the next cast, flounder number four hit. A nice 17” fat flounder. He was safely released as I continued to peddle on up the creek. I spotted a small drain and decided to make a cast. I felt a small Thump and my fifth Flounder of the day was on the end of the line. How can you complain about a day like that.
Thank you DCO Nation! Yall Rock.

@DeadCalmOutdoors I don't like it either but to know the mosquitoes are bad enough on the water for that to be more important to remember than the net worries me lol

Are the bugs bad up there? When it gets like that I fish with light long sleeves, and I’m not afraid to say a net over my head. I’ve had the bugs in my ears, nose, eyes to the point you could just die! Now I have two nets in my boat, one for me and one for the guy who may be with me. Makes it tolerable. I’m going to make a two day trip come September. Thanks! 👍

Question, You’re moving into the current with the yak, casting and bringing it back with the current? Thanks…..

Yes I prefer to cast up current and bring it back. It’s a more natural look

@@DeadCalmOutdoors You should do a run down after you've used it a good many times. I keep looking for one for my first, but i think i'll stick with a paddle one for starters. Keep the cost down for my first one.

@rodbentfishing I want to wait for 6 month. That way I can give a non biased opinion of the Kayak. I’m going to let the newness wear off 🤙
