I beg you please don't live your entire life thinking that the city is actual, universal, fundamental reality, and it's not how people naturally are supposed to live. I merely made an observation of what life appears to be in the country. Nothing more. Do not assume that I haven't made these conclusions already. I've actually been outside of city life and even the country before. I personally disdain city life far more than you know. I also know history. Nothing you're saying here is new. George Washington, our first president, was not a fan of cities in his writings and warned of the affects of them on the citizenry. Jefferson also warned of this. Finally, rural areas are not some utopia. I would be careful of that mentality or claim as well. "Capitalists", as you disapprovingly state, love rural areas because it's where they park all the defense contractors, Big Ag, eminent domains, military bases, along with all the garbage globalist projects I see out here in the city that involves the alphabet agencies, special interests, corporatists, and lobbyists, along with the politicians selling folks out. In places like Wyoming, South Dakota, Montana, Texas, South Carolina, and such others, as examples, is where they're running all these "green energy" billion dollar scams at the expense of the citizens, along with the aforementioned. I see this overseas in rural areas as well. Even Iowa is famous for their endless corn subsidies. I haven't even gotten to the targeting of local farms with all the regulations and pesticides, as they uproot them and plant these corporate farms at the entire country's expense. Many of the country's forefathers warned of this totalitarianism by government in regards to resources. Rural areas are a prime target because that's where the resources are. Most things in cities are imports. The point I'm trying to make is that nowhere is a utopia in this country. I'm just simply stating that country folk are just simpler, happier, resourceful, different(in a good way), folks. I appreciate it greatly.

New York City itself has a very long sordid history of corruption from the start of the country. That's why your think tank is there, among many.
