I took them down and I’m trying to get new Kidde smoke alarms installed. I found using first alert is not the way to go. I have had them go off in the middle of the night or not go off at all.

All the alarms were the same but I replaced some and the original ones were 16 years old.

@@electricalsmokealarmsandmo1564, so the first smoke detector is 16 years old and the last one you tested was 16 years old at the time you recorded this video? Also, if the sensor inside the smoke detector is degrading in quality, will it beep or go off?

David B yes. That has happened which is why we replace the other 2
