Melinda as a long time viewer of the channel I wanted to give my sincere thanks to you for following along on these camping adventures. I really do appreciate your time to watch and comment. I hope these videos inspire you to get outside more and have some fun. When’s next time you’ll be at White Rock? I want to go again in the next few weeks, maybe I’ll see you there !

@@iowacampclimbhike6083 oh it's just too bad! My sister and I would have been at Whiterock on Aug. 18-20 for the Iowa Star Party, but we can't because we're leaving that weekend for South Missouri to go on a houseboat trip to celebrate her and her husband's anniversary. So sad we have to miss the star party and maybe getting to meet you! What a bummer!

I bet there is some HUGE fish in that river, thanks for the adventure!

I kept hearing large mouth jumping and even saw one twice. They move fast though

Really enjoyed going along on your adventure. I was impressed with the clarity of the bird songs, it was like I was right there! Sorry about your pancakes….😮

I really appreciate your feedback. Your comment was excellent and I love knowing stuff like this. I’ve seen a lot of people spend way too much for audio equipment but I seem to get pretty lucky as I don’t do anything special. I love the birds sound so good you can feel like you’re there.. Are you going to Whiterock this summer?

@@iowacampclimbhike6083 Unforetunately not this year. My family is taking a vacation to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary at the same time as the Star Party…hate to miss it, but unfortunately I can’t be 2 places at the same time!

Good to see you again: cooked corn cob for a snack with propane. Boiled it for five minutes. Tender ! Salt and pepper. Try it !

Great video and location. Good to see you. Water acts as amplifier with any sound. I live near a lake and I hear everything from the bar. try adding a few drops of oil to the pancake mix in the bag and it may not stick as bad. Glad you were not busted by DNR. Stay safe. ✌

It’s so weird LOL. I was literally hearing conversations from what seems like over a half mile away. What’s even weird is I’ve camped next to water before and don’t recall hearing noises travel quite that that before. Perhaps there is unique geography that is conducive to this effect. On a side note. Even when I’m not doing anything wrong I get anxiety around DNR. They don’t piss around much around here. Just best to avoid them entirely if possible

@iowacampclimbhike6083 I agree. My son and I are taking a trip to the U.P. next month and there are ORV trails. I have to make sure I and get busted while watching the Rally race.

It wasn’t private land, all was public but I couldn’t help but feel like you’re probably not supposed to camp on whatever that stuff was

Is that a UV hoodie you are wearing ?
@iowacampclimbhike6083 Жыл бұрын
I will post a link to the exact hoody for you below. It is UV hoody though, or as I call them a Sun Hoody. I like them a lot, and have become my go to. However the main reason is because in Iowa there lots of prickly bushes that hurt, so I needed something that was breathable, UV resistant, and abrasion and tear resistant. My original REI sun hoody (it’s in many of my vids) I replaced because it stretched to much so I upgraded to Kuhl. Hope this info helped ! www.kuhl.com/kuhl/mens/long-sleeve/kuhl-engineered-hoody/?color=Loden&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpJCV_-qqgAMVhSytBh2G5wb-EAQYASABEgKAKfD_BwE
