I love how you have resources ready for the new teachers on your team. I love your videos. I do a lot of things similar to how you do them because I watched your videos for years while I was in college. Thank you.

I'd love more on the library. How do you train the librarians and how long are they a librarian? Do you use a tracker to see who got what? How often can they get new books? The new books haven't held up as well in recent years. 😢 I need a better system and like that you have librarians check conditions and stuff. Do they see it when they checked out?

I keep my library procedures pretty simple. The librarians are the same ones all year (they have to apply). As long as they are doing a good job, they get to keep the job all year if they want. I don't have students checkout or write down what books they are borrowing.

Hello, I want to tell you that I look forward to seeing your videos because you show a true love for teaching. Please do not feel that you are going to share something that someone may not want to see it. I know that everyone who clicks on your videos are looking for ideas and everything teaching. You never have to apologize for sharing about your love for teaching! I think you are awesome at whatever it is you decide to share. I particularly love watching how organized you are! Again, you are awesome!

Can you do a walkthrough on setting up and using planbook especially since you also use a paper planner?

25:06 I had a high school art teacher who was strict about what type of eraser to use. One of her assignments in the gradebook with Class Supplies (me thinking: WTF) It was the white eraser, but it was a certain brand and couldn't find it anywhere, so I grabbed what I could, and I believe it was like 15/20. She was way too serious about things. I didn't like her teaching at all, either. We couldn't listen to music, and she didn't play music while we were doing things independently. You look like an amazing teacher, tough, and I would have loved to have you!

Rime magic is best for third graders who are really struggling. I have found it was best for my kids who could decode up to like blends, recognized their vowels and it provided a strategy for breaking down large words

Hey Jennifer! I love your videos. What do you use to number your student's pencils? I have tried many things like circle stickers and tape, but they end up picking on it or they come off. I desperately want to improve on our classroom supply usage!

I just use sharpie. I also make it a rule that if you turn in a pencil with no number or if your number gets rubbed off, you have to tell the pencil people to re-add your number before turning it in. So my pencil people reapply numbers with sharpie as needed.

I love all of your planning and organizing videos! I am surprised at a class size of 32 students! Is that all in one class or do you have 2 classes each day?

Did you put all the masters together or was that a team project? Are they all from the same program or compiled feom many sources? I'm jealous. I feel like I go looking for new things every year.

I put them together myself. When my teammate and I were planning, I just made a separate pile for the new teachers. It's resources from all over!!

Sticking with the Spooky Theme, what are your thoughts on the Goosebumps series?
@JennuineTeaching
@JennuineTeaching 3 ай бұрын
I have them in my class because they are popular. However, I do want to go through and read them myself to make sure that they’re not too scary for some of my kids. In my 17 years of teaching, though, I’ve never had any complaints about goosebumps books and the kids that don’t like scary things don’t gravitate towards those books anyways.

@@JennuineTeaching Thanks, my students enjoy them, some years more than others but the series continues to be popular. Enjoy the rest of summer break!

why do you buy school supplies?
@JennuineTeaching
@JennuineTeaching 3 ай бұрын
I don’t buy school supplies. These are leftovers from the previous school year. Once school starts students bring in supplies to replenish the supplies that I gave to them at the beginning of the school year.
