Love this wavy look😍 Also if you're going swimming, wet your hair with normal water before getting in because our hair is super porous and will soak up all that chlorinated water first..we don't want that😬 Wetting it with normal water will help absorb less pool water.

You could also apply heat protectant or UV protecting oils like Olaplex 7 on your hair before you go out. Also if y'all gonna wear a hat be careful cause hats can pull your hair out, they can also dry your hair out cause a lot of them are lined with cotton. I'm finna sew in a silk lining in my summer bucket hats

I believe the best thing to do with braids is to braid the edges loosely.

@@NiaraAlexis but like won’t the roots get fuzzy quickly and it won’t be as sleek? & by then the edges would’ve basically reverted back😩😩😩

@@100k-f7l yes but you also have to remember that newly relaxed hair is more fragile. Too much tension and you can pull your hair out or break it off. For me I find this works best for it to truly be a protective style. I’m never wearing my braids for a really sleek look and use barely any product when I put them in. Just foam to lay them down

No I meant 2-3 months. Personally that’s how I’ve been able to retain length & the health of my hair with braids. I just put my braids in last week and it had been almost 4 months since my last relaxer
