Great tips Rob. Gauges or tuna cans are much more accurate than the weather channel. Spot watering in between regular watering definitely helps the hot spots too.

What are your thoughts on putting sea kelp and humic acid on the lawn? I have not done it to my yard, but I heard people say its good for your grass during the hot summer months.

I have done both and on paper it seems good. I have not physically seen a difference much but I have noticed when I dig up my soil, where there was all clay, is starting to turn dark black.

Rob, such simple solutions. I have heard it’s better to do this on one day, regardless of rain in the northeast. But the split method during 90+ weather does make sense. Do you use rain collection barrels at all? Also, I have been thinking about a Drip/Low volume subterranean irrigation system for efficiency and sustainability. Any thoughts? P.S. I love the new beats and editing.

Northeast, cool season grass is a bit different. I dont have rain barrels but I have thought about it but they are pricey. I have seen the low volume irrigation you mentioned and the idea sounds legit. Putting out just enough water for the soil to take in water and avoid runoff. I look forward to trying it one day.
