What does rip and crush mean please?

They are cues for generating torque on the mace, vs passively holding it. The more torque you can create, the more you will activate your fascia and muscles when you train! make sense?

@@SummerHuntington Sort of! Is it a move of two parts - rip then crush? is rip the sliding of the hands to the new position and crush when you create torque holding is actively?
