Marie visited our garden in Hawaii a few years back and I am embarrassed to say, we didn’t realize who she was and what a wealth of aroid information she knew! I hope she returns again to us at Andersen Gardens! She is extremely sweet and humble as well!

Wow. Now that is a back yard! I live in west Texas and one of my first thoughts when I saw all those plants so close together was, 'God I hope there aren't any snakes'. We have rattlers here but there they have problems with invasive pythons. And my friends think I'm a crazy plant person. When I watch this video...oh mah gaw. Oh my god! I thought the video was almost over when you found the path and asked how big is this?! My mouth may never close again.

This is one of the many reasons why I love this channel. Summer's interviews with passionate plant people always inspire me to be a better grower. Marie had the fortune of starting early as a youngster. At 4 years old, I was more interested in eating dirt than growing plants in it.

The kind of people who i wanted to be it inspires me to do more collecting but also breeding since the start of lockdown i started anthurium magnificum pollinating and it was a successful and i got variegated seedlings magnificum but unfortunately it rot and now finally another successful pollination growing a 4month old variegated anthurium magnificum seedlings I would like to thanks summer for making videos like this it was a brilliant idea for people like me who are interested in planting , breeding and many more😊

Ahhh, FL…exactly where I’d love to live & garden. Can’t beat the tropics for growing plants. Marie is so cool…imagine starting to collect plants at such a young age! (I guess she knows the names of all those plants since they’ve been a part of her life for so long. I don’t know that I could remember them all!)
