Thanks for posting a video showcasing these plants! As someone who has over 8 Dorstenia gigas and 3 Dendrosicyos socotrana in his collection, I was happy to see that other specimens are being grown elsewhere 😁

Awesome video. I have many of the species they showed in pots. Some were totally new to me. I also live in Florida now so hearing about going almost all perlite is good to know. I have already started going 50% but might actually increase. I keep my plants away from the rain in a small greenhouse but knowing many of these plants can survive in the open with more perlite. I need to go down to Fairchild and check it out for myself.

No parts of _Dendrosicyos socotrana_ are eaten by the inhabitants of Soqotra. Even the milk and flesh of goats who have eaten it are discarded as they become unpleasantly bitter. Source: Miller & Morris _Ethnoflora of the Soqotra Archipelago_ (Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, 2004).

Super cool succulents. Wow must take years to get them that big. It would take forever here in SF for sure, not enough sun n warmth :T
