There are numerous things to do and see in Venice, Italy. Here are some popular activities and attractions to consider:
1. St. Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco): Explore the iconic St. Mark's Square, visit St. Mark's Basilica, and admire the beautiful architecture of the Doge's Palace.
2. Rialto Bridge and Rialto Market: Walk across the historic Rialto Bridge and explore the vibrant Rialto Market, known for its fresh produce, seafood, and local specialties.
3. Gondola Ride: Take a gondola ride through the picturesque canals of Venice and enjoy the unique charm and beauty of the city from the water. We personally skipped this as we find it to be a little expensive at that time. 80 euros (morning to afternoon) 100 Euros (after 7pm)
4. See the Grand Canal: the main waterway of Venice!
5. Day trips to Murano and Burano Islands: Take a boat trip to the nearby islands of Murano and Burano. Murano is famous for its glassmaking traditions, while Burano is known for its colorful houses and lace-making.
6. Try some Venetian Cuisine: like seafood risotto, cuttlefish ink pasta, cicchetti (small tapas-like dishes), and tiramisu.
7. Spritz all day all night: Venice appears to be the birthplace of Aperol Spritz
8. Have some Gelato at Suso 🍦
