In an interview they said the house was an actual real house owned by someone else who got a bit tired of the inconvenience of them shooting there so it's easier at Lucy's which is a prop not a real apartment.

Dim and Juicy are by far the funniest part of The Rookie. They should have kept them in the plot, on the back burner and NOT (SPOILER ALERT) ....... did what they did to DiM. Skip Tracy Randy makes me speed through the episode because I cant stand him. Thumbs down.
