Thx for your work. I have two questions: - Editing value graph and speed graph is the same thing? - Why I can't add Bezier curves to the position keyframes?
@M3Animate5 жыл бұрын
hello Angel as the answer to your question one, It really not the same thing. speed graph is about the speed of keyframes and value graph can change the value of the keyframes. but both of them can affect the timing of the animation. for the second question, you must select all of the keyframes, and then press the F9 key on the keyboard to convert that keyframes to easy ease then add Bezier Curves to them. I hope my answers can help you to create nice and smooth animations. Regard Mahdi from M3animate 😊😊😊😊

what do you think about blur? do you use it? do you like it? i used to check it in all my works, but from some months now it became kinda boring. i understand in some exeption you must use it, but if i can i try to avoid it as I can. what's your opinion about it?
@patrickbutler878 жыл бұрын
Such a great tip! QUESTION: I notice you almost never have motion blur on your 2D motion graphics. I think it makes it more modern (aka not from 5 years ago). Do you feel like motion blur is a quick fix to cover up flaws in animation, and instead doing detail work like this is the better way to "smooth out" your animation? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Hey Matt! Man, my english is bad but i hope you can understand. Do you have any tips on how to evolve a job quality from amateur to professional? I mean, anyone can learn how to insert objects, put some color, move them and done, it's an animation. But it feels totally amateur, there's a huge difference if you saw something done by a professional, even if its exactly the same animation. This is just the practice effect? The 'feeling' of the animation? Or there's a trick to evolve this step from an amateur look to a professional one? It's very easy to see it in people following tutorials. They do exactly the same the teacher did, but it still just doesn't feel good.

Has anyone figured out how to use this with positional parameters? I've gone down a rabbit hole trying to figure this out, as the curve does not seem to behave the same way as demonstrated in the video (which he's using with rotation). I even separated the dimensions and this allows the bezier handles to be displayed, but distorts the curve considerably once you add the additional keyframe. I'm hoping its something obvious I'm missing.

Please, ANYONE, answer this, Im also looking for an answer, two years later.
@vipergirl25636 жыл бұрын
Stary Trabant Im not sure how much this will actually end up helping/how much of it you already know so if this comes across as patronizing please know that isn’t my intent haha. So in this video he’s using the value graph as opposed to the speed graph. The value graph works by measuring the value of a property on the vertical axis and the time on the horizontal axis. The speed graph represents the acceleration at which the values are changing, so if you were to use a speed graph to create smooth rotation keyframes you would be changing the number of degrees turned/second. The slope of the line = acceleration. When it comes to position, you are typically using a single key frame to represent both the x&y positional values (if you are using a 3d layer, this will also include z values). Even if you are only changing one of the values, the dimensions are being keyframed together. If you want to use the value graph on position, you need to right click on the position option on your layer and separate the dimensions, that way they are being individually keyframed and it will allow you to edit the positional parameters using the value graph. I hope this was helpful and not confusing, and if this made no sense I’m sorry lol
