Very Nice looking setup. Those tires are quiet and handle great almost everywhere I've been on them, other than deep mud. But Duh, they make MTs for that.

Thank you very much! I know they are still new but when I pulled off with them mounted for the first time I really couldn’t believe how quite and smooth they roll. They are a giant leap forward from our old KO2s and at the moment they are smoother and quieter than the OEM wheels on Michelins. I’m sure that will change some as the tires wear down, but for now we are extremely happy borderline shocked at how good these tires are. Oh and the wheels, Summit Off-road did their thing with the Dakar it’s a fantastic looking wheel option! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Gorgeous looking tyre, and the stance looks SO good. How do the wheels affect fuel consumption? Any differences you noticed during the road trip?

There is a slight increase in fuel consumption I think we lost about 1.5 MPG or something like that.

Tyres ok but those fender flares not look so great.cos already it got in built wide body like fenders..not for 100 series. Fenders looks good only for 90 series landcruiser Prado. Please don't mind my opinion.

You might be able to, I think it will depend on the brand of tire you use. We get a slight amount of rub at a very specific angle there is a small bit of plastic on the bottom of the fender I need to bend cut or melt off. Other than that we have no complaints we are very happy with this wheel tire combination.

So I just got this setup today and when i turn left maybe 1/4 to half turn, the tire rub on the front bumper bottom corner. Did you do an alignment to pull your caster slightly negative?

@@bkahugu I’m on stock suspension it rubs on the front passenger side slightly but I think my bumper is slightly misaligned. I’m just going to cut it. It’s like 1/2”

Ours only rubs slightly on the wheel liner at steep angles while making a hard turn. I have pretty much the same set up on my 1999 LC and it doesn’t rub at all even at “extreme” angles. I am planning to shape the wheel well liner slightly with a heat gun to get rid of the occasional rub.

Have you considered hubcentric spacers 1.25 or 1.5? I followed your vlog before getting my 1998 LC 100 upgraded to - 18X9 METHOD MR305 NV TITAN W/BL + 285/60R-18 TOYO PROXES ST III XL. I went with a 1.5” spacer because I couldn’t stand the esthetic of missing the front caps. Either way your gold ones are bad ass, helped me make my decision. Tire rack was clutch with the mounting, balance, and delivery to my installing servicer.

Yes, I went with zero offset again like I always do, even tho people seem to recommend against it on land cruiser forums. On my 1999 I have never had any rubbing issues. For some reason this particular combination rubs slight at a very specific angle. It’s only rubbing plastic tho I intend to get a heat gun and bend this little bit of plastic out of the way. Other than that very minor rub this combination is probably one of my favorites I’ve tried period from looks to functionality!

Those wheels and new tires would cost the same as purchasing the set of 18” Methods(just wheels) I wanted. So, I dunno. Kind of conflicted now. My OEM wheels are 18, could have gone 16 but I already had 17 on my other LC so I wanted matching wheel/tire combos.

Yes, you cannot use these wheels with the center cap unless you use a spacer.

Loving the wheels tire combo, gets slight rub between 20-30 degrees from zero. At certain angles. Might be tire model might be a difference between our 1999 and 2005. Same set up different tire model the, 1999 doesn’t rub at all the 2005 does. More than likely the Falken tire is bigger than the BFG KO2 even tho they are the same printed size. Other than that no problems rides great.
