Best climber tutorial I’ve seen. Thanks!

Many years ago I had a climbing tree stand that did not have an attachment to the climber / seat portion. the standing platform gave away and fell to the bottom of the tree. Luckily I had the then version of a fall safety harness - the waist belt and the tree security strap with tether. I was left hanging from the security strap with only the climber portion of the tree stand at my level. I was young enough at that time and able to reverse myself to face the tree, hug the tree, shimmy up a little bit to relieve tension on the strap around the tree and lower the strap and tether to chest level and then repeat the process until I got to the bottom of the tree. I look back on that incident and think God must have been with me. (Had to go back and edit my reply because I have noticed all the Google voice recognitions! Google sucks)

Good video, I would add some stabilizer straps by third hand archery. The just make the stand more solid and a peice of mind when your up there, also the bow holder is mint too.

Thank you! Already added the bow holder and the pack. I will definitely look into the stabilizer straps. Do they help keep it from rocking side to side?
@stevew37182 жыл бұрын
@@GrantSmith_Bowreaper yes they do once you get to your desired height, all you have to do is sinch the straps and they are rock solid. And for the safety aspect when you are on your way up and if the bottom platform drops, you have 2 straps to pull it up instead of the one that it comes with.

Great video! Isnt that poison ivy on that tree in you climbed in? You're tougher than I am. I got goosebumps just looking at it.
@GrantSmith_Bowreaper Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Haha yes I believe it is. “Knock on wood” for some reason I don’t get poison ivy. I can roll and it and nothing will happen lol.

@@GrantSmith_Bowreaper Man I wish I had that luxury lol. Got it a few years back really really bad. Now I get goosebumps any time I see it.

What camo arm rests you got on there
@GrantSmith_Bowreaper Жыл бұрын
Just the stock ones that came with it. Or are you asking about the specific camo pattern?
